On November 7, Rockstar released a new notice via their social media pages informing about another delay in the launch of GTA VI. Earlier this year, the company made an announcement stating that the game would release on May 26 next year. As per the latest announcement, the game is now likely to launch on November 19, 2026.

Rockstar apologized for pushing the launch date and mentioned that they need more time to complete the game with the level of polish.

“Hi everyone, Grand Theft Auto VI will now release on Thursday, November 19, 2026. We are sorry for adding additional time to what we realize has been a long wait, but these extra months will allow us to finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve.”

The company further added:

“We want to thank you again for your patience and support. While the wait is a little longer, we are incredibly excited for players to experience the sprawling state of Leonida and a return to modern day Vice City.”

Fans seemed upset with further delay in the launch of GTA VI. As a result, they swamped the internet with their mixed reactions to its new launch date. One of them suggested that the game should be renamed as GTA 7.

For those unaware, the predecessor GTA V had a reported budget of around $265 million, which covered both development and marketing. At the time of its launch, it emerged as the most expensive video game back.
