Kelly Clarkson has her fashion game down to a tee.
Clarkson, who is a Grammy-winning singer and a beloved talk show host, is making headlines not just for her breezy pants—proving that she's committed to staying on top of this summer's sweltering heat— but also for rumors about her future on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
As pointed out by People Magazine, earlier this week, the artist was spotted sporting a button-down long-sleeve shirt and some wide-leg pants during the show's latest episode.
Clarkson swapped out the classic denims and chose a comfortable, chic outfit instead, and fans are swooning. However, it seems like things are amiss at the talk show as several outlets are reporting that Clarkson may be ready to move on from her contract, which expires next year. Here is everything we know.
Kelly Clarkson is allegedly to quit her role as the host of her talk show: Read more
A source recently told the Daily Mail:
“Not feeling too stable [...] She could bolt at any time. Where does that leave me?”
Despite the uncertainty, the insider emphasized that “everyone loves Kelly” and described her as “a wonderful person.” They added,
“I would understand if she wanted to leave because she’s unhappy. She should move on.”
Several sources also told Page Six that Kelly Clarkson is unhappy with her job, though the executives at NBC are looking to reverse that. The 43-year-old "Since U Been Gone" singer took a break from the show for almost two weeks in April, citing a "personal matter" at the time.
Sources are currently claiming that Clarkson simply wants to be able to spend more time with her daughter River Rose, 10, and son Remy, 8. One source claimed.
“Kelly’s number one priority is her children, and they always will be.”
They added:
"The show is grueling. It’s a whole lot of work, and I hear that Kelly would like to spend more time down South.”
At the time of writing, Clarkson has yet to address these claims. Entertainment Now has reported that while they're looking to keep her, NBC is already drafting a list of possible replacements should the singer really quit.
One of these names is allegedly Today host Hoda Kotb, who parted with the show earlier this year after a 26-year stint. She cited wanting to be closer to her daughters at the time. However, Kotb sat down for a one-off co-hosting duty on Jenna & Friends this week, where she set the record straight about these claims. She stated:
"If I ever came back to TV, do you know where the only place I would ever come back to is? Right here. This is the spot. Delete, delete. It's not true."
Currently, claims such as Kelly Clarkson is looking to quit her role as host of the eponymous show remain unsubstantiated.
