U.S. Marshals have reportedly arrested Kevin “KJ” Brown in connection with the murder of Sayso P and the shooting of Sauce Walka.

TMZ broke the news that authorities confirmed on Tuesday that Brown, 23, was apprehended and charged with

"with first-degree murder, two counts of felony criminal attempt, two counts of employing a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, and theft of property."

The details of Sayso P's tragic demise explored:

Federal agents were reportedly on the lookout for him for months, with a warrant having been issued in March in Shelby County. The U.S. Marshals Service Middle Tennessee Task Force and Clarksville Police Department worked together on the arrest, the latter of which offered "crucial assistance" in locating Brown.

WSMV Nashville has reported that earlier this year, Memphis police responded to reports of a shooting at the Westin Hotel, located on Lt. Lee George Avenue. Upon arriving, they found Sayso P, real name Latorian Hunt, dead along the roadside. They also found Sauce Walka, whose real name is Albert Mondane, injured with gunshot wounds.

The consequent investigation reportedly confirmed the involvement of several gunmen who exited a white Charger car and opened fire on the two rappers before absconding. Brown was later identified as one of the suspects, alongside Jaden Dandridge.

The latter was found dead at the age of 21 in Houston before he could be arrested. TMZ and WREG have reported that there was a warrant out for his arrest at the time for first-degree murder and first-degree attempted murder, though he was found dead "execution style."

Sayso P's mother reportedly told WREG that her son was born and raised in Memphis, but he had been living in Miami. He was in town visiting a sick relative at the time and was eager to come home. He was only at the hotel a few days before he got gunned down.

“I want to know who did this. I want to know who sent them. This is what I told the detectives. These boys didn’t do this on their own, at least I don’t think so,” said Toya Redwing. “I don’t think he was the intended target.” “I was pretty much numb. I didn’t cry or grieve for him. He killed my son, and I still want answers,” Sayso P's mom said. “I can’t get to the bottom of it if they are all dead.”

She also said that Sayso P wanted to leave Memphis because of the violence, and that he'd opened a recording studio in Miami. He also signed a distribution deal with Sauce Walka’s record label, WREG has reported.

“The fact that he won’t ever have children. I won’t know what my grandkids look like. I won’t know if he will have beautiful little daughters or little boys,” said Redwing. “Watching his growth from a young boy to the man he had become was amazing.”

Brown was reportedly arrested at a motel off Wilma Rudolph Boulevard in Clarksville. He was arrested without incident and extradited to the Montgomery County Jail, where he will be detained for the Memphis Police Department.
