Kyrie Irving is keen on going to FunnyMike's streamer prom but has yet to be invited.

FunnyMike, 28, will be hosting a prom for all his fellow Twitch streamers on June 18, and prolific figures are expected to show up, including DDG. In new videos circulating online, it seems like Irving is interested in attending it too, though he disclosed that he hadn't been invited.

"Tell FunnyMike to send the invite, bro. If I get invited to Streamer Prom, what do y'all think about that? I can't invite myself, the f*ck am I talking about, bruh. I gotta chill," he says in the clip. "I gotta ask Funny Mike. Believe in me, d*wg. Believe in me, if the invite's on the table, just believe in me."

Noting that the event is on the 18th, Kyrie Irving said he could "easily make that," but reiterated his apprehensions about crashing the party on account of not being invited yet.

In other news, Kyrie Irving made his feelings clear about being compared to former NBA guard Jamaal Tinsley. Tracy McGrady recently made the comparison, when he claimed:

"I don't think nobody had better handles than Jamaal Tinsley, even Kyrie."

Irving took to Twitch to react to the sentiments, noting that he's confident in his own abilities and that comments like this have no impact on his gameplay:

"When I see an OG like (Tracy McGrady) come out and say 'I don't think nobody had better handles than Jamaal Tinsley, even Kyrie,' it doesn't bother me because I'm a mix of all the great players that came before me," Irving said.

He added:

“You never know who’s watching you, you never know who’s going to be in a position to help you or give you that opportunity. Just move with grace. It’s okay to be a kind person. You don’t have to be too cool to say what’s up to people. You don’t have to be too tough to get along with people. But honor yourself, too. Balance that out.”

Kyrie Irving tore his ACL early in March and has been undergoing intensive recuperation and rehabilitation since then. He is expected to make a comeback to his position as the Dallas Mavericks’ All-Star guard next season, however.

In the meantime, he has been active on Twitch, where he recently reflected on the MVP of this year's NBA Finals, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

"I know a lot of you guys be talking about, being funny, talking about, 'He's a free throw merchant, he's this and he's that.' Nah, man. Shai just plays the game the right way, he plays at a high level... you gotta be a master manipulator out there it’s part of the game and all the greats have done it. For me, I look at him as one of the guys that's gonna be the prototype for the next generation," Kyrie Irving said in a recent livestream.

SGA averaged 32.7 PPG, 6.4 APG, and 5.0 RPG, in addition to leading the NBA in free throws made and field goals attempted. In the finals, he averaged 32.4 PPG, which is consistent with his regular-season statistics and has since earned him the MVP honors.
