"Look just like her pops": Fans react after North West stars in SKIMS ad campaign after 5 years

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's daughter, North West, is now featured in the new advertisement released by SKIMS, the shapewear and clothing brand founded by Kim Kardashian in 2019. According to Entertainment Online, the new advertisement featuring North West comes five years after her 2020 appearance in a SKIMS advertisement, alongside her mother and younger sister, Chicago West, during which she modelled for the SKIMS Cozy Collection loungewear. Now, this feature has prompted fans to react in excitement, with one person talking about how much North West looks like her father. They wrote:

"Look just like her pops."

Kim Kardashian, who was recently seen in the Hulu drama All's Fair, was previously married to Kanye West from 2014 until their separation in 2021 and eventual divorce in 2022. Apart from North West, the couple welcomed three other children over the course of their marriage and now share joint custody of their four children.

North West, who previously made her runway debut with at just five years old when she walked the ramp at the L.O.L. Surprise Fashion Show in 2018, can be seen wearing a black hoodie and sweatpants in the recent SKIMS Christmas advertisement. According to People Magazine, Kim Kardashian released a statement, as part of a press release, in which she spoke about her excitement in working with North West. She said:

"Having North in this campaign makes it really special for me; she brings so much personality to the pieces. Our collaboration with CPFM brings a fresh, unexpected twist to holiday loungewear, with pieces that are iconic, playful, and expressive.”

The advertisement, which is a collaboration with Cactus Plant Flea Market, also features North showing off her signature blue braided hair, and at the end of her appearance she says, "Everybody’s wearing SKIMS.” The other stars featured in the Christmas speacial advertisement includes Mariah the Scientist, Ken Carson, Veneda Carter, Madeline Argy and others.

According to People Magazine, North West has generated her own share of controversy. Just last month, fans reacted angrily when the twelve-year old showed off her fake piercings and face tattoos in a TikTok video. During her appearance on the Call Me Daddy podcast later that month, Kim Kardashian explained that her daughter did not pay much attention to the controversy, adding that she is "mature" for her age. She said:

"[North] really [is] mature in one sense, where she'll be like, 'Mom, I saw this and I don't really care that they don't like... my blue hair' or this or that. She's really confident and is like, 'I probably wouldn't be hanging out with those people.'"

Now North's recent feature in the SKIMS advertisement has received a positive reception from fans. One person wrote:
