Rapper and streamer Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., also known as DDG, had an interaction with a seemingly rich person. As seen in a video from the stream, Darryl and Aspen Kartier were interacting with the public when the person asked if they were streaming on Twitch. However, the person later commented that what Darryl and his team were doing was what children thought “working” looked like.

DDG responded that it was “hard work” and asked why he thought streaming wasn’t hard work. The person said:

“I think it's hard work, but I think I drive a Bentley and you guys are driving a Chevrolet.”

The person ultimately tried to reason that hard work is based on earnings. One social media user commented:

“Major boomer alert.”

Another X user wrote:

“Old heads have no clue that social media is the new version of tv, you say you’re an actor for a tv show and they think you’re rich, somehow they think social media is just a hobby.”

A netizen mentioned that the person had no idea who Darryl was, writing:

“Its obvious the man don't know who DDG was... He just thought he's some random low–mid life guy trying to make a living from content creation...”

Meanwhile, an online commentator shared that the person was being fake only to be on the stream. They commented:

“He’s so much excited to be in the live stream, he’s just faking it, if not why is it that After getting humbled, he’s still giving himself an interview with those lame quotes, like in those james dumoulin interviews.”

According to one X user:

“Man I hate when ppl give me unsolicited advice and don’t f*cking touch me.”

How did DDG interact with the person?

The person tried to explain to DDG that if they both worked hard equally, then what that would mean in terms of earnings. He said:

“So, I make millions. So, is this going to make you guys millions?”

The streamer replied:

“I'll probably make more money than you.”

The person said he was not sure if that would be the case. DDG asked him how much money he made, but the person replied that he won’t talk about it. The streamer reiterated that he made more money than him. The person then went on to share his success lesson. He said:

“Don't pursue your passion. Pursue your competence. Because competence becomes success, success becomes more success and that becomes passion. Do you see? When people pursue their passions, most of them fail because they don't have any confidence. And it becomes depressing.”

Darryl then asked him how many Bentleys he got. The person replied that he got a Bentley rental company. The interaction ended, and he went to his car, where he said the person was trying to “sh*t” on them because they were riding a Chevy.
