Artist Meek Mill took to social media to share that he was arrested on Halloween for no reason and was embarrassed about the whole altercation in front of a huge group of people.

Robert Rihmeek Williams, known professionally as Meek Mill, was arrested and held at gunpoint on Halloween in New York City at a local nightclub by the NYPD. On Saturday, he took to his X, formerly Twitter, account and recounted what happened the night before.

He shared,

"They just pulled me out the car and cuffed me in front of the whole club embarrassed the shit out of me in nyc ! I'm not scared to go outside without a gun ... they had guns in my face for no reason smh I thought it was a prank," explaining how he was embarrassed in front of the entire club and confused by the entire ordeal.

He later tweeted,

"They tryna get me ........"

Making it seem as if it is a conspiracy against him.

Meek Mill's previous police encounters

This is not the first brush with the police the Philadelphia native has, as he has built quite the rap sheet over the years. The rapper was sentenced to two to four years in state prison for violating probation in 2017, but he was released after five months on bail under an order by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and was given a ten-year probation period. This came after he went to jail in 2009 on weapons and drug charges.

However, Meek Mill has now been focusing on criminal justice reform by co-founding the non-profit organization REFORM Alliance, alongside Jay-Z and a group of other founding partners, including 76ers owner Michael Rubin, Patriots owner Robert Kraft, Nets co-owner Clara Wu Tsai, and more.

But it seems that all the work he put forward might not be helping him as much due to the alleged false detention.
