Megan Thee Stallion announces her own Popeyes outlet: Details explored

Rapper Megan Thee Stallion has a new project underway—and it’s not related to music. On April 29, 2025, the singer shared a video on her Instagram showing the construction of her Popeyes outlet.

In the video, she gave a short tour of the place, informing her fans that it was in the initial phase of construction. The video was captioned:

“MY VERY OWN @popeyes IS OPENING THIS SUMMER HOTTIES I just visited my location while she’s still just bones This is abt to be THEE LITTEST Popeyes ever.”

She joked that even though the space was just “bones,” it would soon become “chickens.” She then showed a bottle of Popeyes’ “Hottie Sauce,” saying this was how one caught a hottie. As she conversed with someone at the location, she gestured and said:

“So, this is like the regular window and this is a pickup window.”

According to Billboard, in 2021, Megan Thee Stallion partnered with Popeyes to launch her limited-edition “Hottie Sauce.” At the time, she expressed how much the collaboration meant to her, highlighting her appreciation for Popeyes’ support of Black women.

She also saw the partnership as an important step in her growth as a businesswoman. As a longtime fan of the brand, she was excited to contribute by helping develop the new sauce for their menu.

At the time, Popeyes’ Chief Marketing Officer, Bruno Cardinali, said the company felt a strong connection to Megan Thee Stallion. He explained that they shared similar Southern roots and a love for spicy flavors. He also believed that her confident, lively, and warm personality reflected the same spirit found in the brand’s food and culture.


Megan Thee Stallion and Popeyes seem to go a long way back

In 2021, Megan Thee Stallion sat down with Zane Lowe on the Apple Music podcast, where Lowe commented on her Popeyes venture. He mentioned that she lent her voice to promote the brand and added value to those who needed it.

Given that she was entering the business infrastructure, Lowe wanted to know how important it was for her. She replied:

“It wasn’t just another brand deal because first of all, everybody knows I love spicy food so let’s there. So, I am like okay, I really want to create this sauce. That is the sh*t. I like, that’s sweet. I like this hot. So, boom that’s how we got the hottie sauce.”

Megan Thee Stallion shared that Popeyes had been a big part of her life growing up in South Houston, especially during her college days when she would enjoy their two-dollar Tuesday deals.

She felt it was meaningful to return to her city and help create job opportunities for others. For her, it was important to give back and show appreciation to the communities that supported her.


In February 2025, the singer introduced her tequila line, Chicas Divertidas. As per a press release, Megan Thee Stallion wanted to create a tequila that could be enjoyed with her fans.

She described the drink as smooth and bold. Meanwhile, launching the brand felt like a major step in her business journey, and she was excited to finally share it with her supporters.
