Meanwhile, sharing the news on Instagram, Karoline Leavitt wrote:

“The greatest Christmas gift we could ever ask for - a baby girl coming in May 2026. My husband and I are thrilled to grow our family and can’t wait to watch our son become a big brother. My heart is overflowing with gratitude to God for the blessing of motherhood, which I truly believe is the closest thing to Heaven on Earth.”

Thanking President Donald Trump, Karoline Leavitt mentioned:

“I am also extremely grateful to President Trump and our Chief of Staff Susie Wiles for their support, and for fostering a pro-family environment in the White House. 2026 is going to be a great year and I am so excited to be a girl mom!”

According to People Magazine, Karoline Leavitt and Nicholas Riccio had their engagement in 2023. This was followed by Niko’s birth in July 2024.

What did Karoline Leavitt say about managing the role of a mother?

In March 2025, Karoline Leavitt sat down with David Brody on CBN News. When asked how much sleep she got, Leavitt said it was about five to six hours. However, she added that this was all she needed. Remembering what President Trump said, she mentioned:

“As president Trump says when you love your job when love your life, you don't need to sleep much and that's what we're doing. Just working all the time. So, we're up early, we stay late and we don't sleep much, but we're having a lot of fun here.”

Brody asked how she managed her demanding job and being a mother. Leavitt said that it was a “challenging” duty. She noted that every working mother is aware of the demands. Despite everything, she said there is a “sense of guilt.” Karoline Leavitt commented:

“You feel like when you're with your baby, you should be focused on your job and when you're at your job, you want to be with your baby. So, there's always that pull but just being present in the moment and prioritizing time, saying no when you have to say no to take care of your family is something I've had to learn the hard way in a very short amount of time.”

Karoline Leavitt said she tried to spend every possible moment with her son, especially during the weekends and evenings. Leavitt said she had a “great” support system, including her husband.
