Nikki Mudarris claims LiAngelo Ball broke up with her over text after telling her he got another woman pregnant a month after they had a baby

Entrepreneur Nikki Mudarris was previously in a relationship with basketball player LiAngelo Ball. Recently, Mudarris was a guest on The Jason Lee Show, where she reflected on their separation. When Lee asked about their break-up, she said:

“He texted me when he went to Chicago for his brother’s podcast, was it? Hold on, I don’t wanna.. I have to remember. It’s been like six months.”

Pausing for a while, she went on:

“He had a meeting in New York. It wasn’t the podcast. He had a meeting in New York, for I believe with Def Jam, something, a label meeting. And, he ended up, he didn’t text me for like three days we didn’t talk and I am like Facetiming him to see the kids, he didn’t answer.”

At this point, Jason Lee asked if this was a normal behavior for LiAngelo Ball to not respond, and Mudarris replied negatively. After that, Ball texted her saying they needed to discuss something serious.

Mudarris inquired what it was, as Ball wouldn’t be back home for two more days. She asked if he had gotten someone pregnant, to which he replied in the affirmative. Recalling his words, Nikki Mudarris said:

“We need to co-parent. I got someone pregnant.”

She said their baby was only four weeks old at that time. According to People Magazine, the incident could be from February 2025, when Nikki Mudarris shared a post on Instagram stating her reason to separate from LiAngelo Ball because he got another woman pregnant. The ex-couple has two kids, LaVelo Anthony Ball and daughter LaNiyah Nicole Ball.

Why did Nikki Mudarris keep her relationship with LiAngelo Ball private initially?

In 2023, both Nikki Mudarris and LiAngelo Ball were guests on The Jason Lee Show. Lee said he was amazed how the two kept their relationship private. According to Mudarris:

“We kind of kept it private because you know how outside energy could affect relationships and it was like kind of new at the time so we were kind of just trying to protect our relationship.”

Nikki Mudarris shared that she and LiAngelo Ball were similar in some ways but also different, and that balance worked well for them. She felt he brought her a sense of peace that she had been missing, especially after being around the Hollywood and str*p club scene.

She said meeting LiAngelo Ball had a positive impact on her life, as he wasn’t into constant partying or drama. He stayed focused on his basketball career, and his calm, grounded lifestyle helped her feel more stable.

When Jason Lee asked if they knew from the beginning that the two could have a future, Nikki Mudarris said she didn’t think so at first. She assumed he might just be attracted to her and not interested in anything serious.

At the time, she had just gotten her real estate license and was focused on building her career, not on casual relationships. However, as they started dating, they both realized they were looking for the same things and were aligned in what they wanted.
