A viral moment at Coldplay’s Boston concert exposed what appears to be a personal scandal between Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot. Grace Springer, a 28‑year‑old fan, captured Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and his HR head, Kristin Cabot, on the kiss cam embracing. The clip quickly spread online, racking up nearly 50 million views.

Springer later shared a blunt message for the pair:

“A part of me feels bad for turning these people’s lives upside down, but, play stupid games … win stupid prizes.”

Springer says she did not know who the couple was when she filmed them at the Coldplay concert. She told the US Sun that she saw a fun reaction and posted the video, not expecting it to go viral. The video shows Byron ducking behind a barrier and Cabot covering her face. Byron seems to say, “F–king hell, it’s me,” while Cabot mouths, “This is awkward.”

Chris Martin, Coldplay’s singer, lightened the mood on stage. He joked by saying,

“Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”

Later, he added,

“I hope we didn’t do something bad.”

Grace Springer's message and public reaction to Andy Byron's viral moment at the Coldplay concert

Springer said she regrets upending personal lives but stands by her words, “Play stupid games … win stupid prizes.” She pointed out that the post from the Coldplay concert exploded overnight, from a few thousand views to tens of millions. Social media users quickly figured out that Byron is married to Megan Kerrigan Byron, and Cabot is divorced from Kenneth Thornby.

Springer added,

"I hope their partners can heal from this and get a second chance at the happiness they deserve with their future still in front of them. I hope, for them, my video was a blessing in disguise."

But netizens have a lot to say.

An user @AtomiicMcfc commented,

"This guy is living a true nightmare. I would feel sorry for him but he’s a cheater and is worth 1.5 billion… well he won’t be worth that for long when his ex-wife takes him to the cleaners"

Another user @Listen2_Linda commented,

"The reason I like this cover so much is because it’s evidence and millions of dollars in damages to his wife and her husband!!!!"

The user @JerryTime commented,

"I’m not proud of myself but must admit I laughed out loud at the guy’s panicked reaction. He ditches his squeeze and hits the ground like a scared rabbit. Where is he going? Is he crawling on the floor towards an exit?"

Workplace ethics and company response

The exposure raises questions about ethics. Cabot, hired in November as head of HR, is responsible for overseeing workplace relationships. An employment lawyer, William Cafaro, said,

"It’s horrible because she is the head of HR! She’s involved in an extramarital affair with the CEO. Basically, how much worse of an HR faux pas could you commit?"

For now, the spotlight remains on Byron and Cabot. The public and media await their response. Grace Springer’s video from the Coldplay concert, meant as a fun recording, has sparked conversations about ethics, drama, and personal accountability, all wrapped into one viral moment.
