Streamer Prom creator FunnyMike has taken to his social media platforms to clear the air around Popeyes' Streamer Meals confusion. This comes after Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen's latest marketing campaign at restaurant counters worldwide, including a digital-only Build Your Own Bundle (BYOB) promotion featuring popular internet personalities.

FunnyMike, in a social media post, stated,

"I partnered with Popeyes for Streamer Prom because they helped level the whole event up. Our deal was only for the prom & related contnet. I wasn't aware of the Popeyes "Streamer Meals" post until it was live. To be clear, I'm not involved with or benefiting from this in any way."

He also added,

"Streamer Porn has always been about celebrating our streaming community, and it'll continue to do that with every event. Popeyes has reassured me and they're committed to supporting our community and have removed the social posts. We're also reaching to all creators involved to clear this all up."

What is the confusion surrounding Popeyes Streamer Meals?

Louisiana-style fried chicken restaurant unveiled their latest marketing campaign on August 12, showcasing meal combinations associated with streamers. The streamers featured on the meal combinations include Brittany "Cinna", FaZe Lacy, Agent 100, ExtraEmily, and others.

The streamers featured on the bundles are also allegedly not aware of this collaboration. Cinna took to X, saying,

"Bro people are going to Popeyes and trying to order this and dming confused please help LMAOOOOO @Popeyes. some guy also just told me in the airport congrates on the collab meal he was gonna order it LMAOOOOOOO I FEEL SO BAD AWWWWWW."

Each bundle has three proteins and two sides for $20, available exclusively on the restaurant's app. As per streamer Lacy, the in-store verification attempt failed when they tried to order their own bundle, and a feature with a restaurant's employee stating, "No, we never had this promotion" popped up. Lacy also questioned why the restaurant chain posted it if it's not available.

Restaurant employee and X user @yoxics shared a 29-second flip from Face Lacy's recent IRL Twitch stream, where he could be seen walking to a store before the employee responds, "No. We never had this promotion."

At this time, the restaurant chain has not issued a formal statement addressing the confusion surrounding their campaign.
