Matt Wallace is a conservative influencer who has gained notoriety for his hot takes. He frequently engages in heated discussions and explores conspiracy theories on social media. While he is not an elected Republican official, he aligns himself politically with that party and has a voice that is heard on that side of the spectrum. Recently, he shared a cryptic post on X:
“TRUMP IS PLANNING SOMETHING MASSIVE NEXT WEEK THAT WILL CHANGE THE WORLD FOREVER”
The internet has predictably been up in arms in response to Wallace’s post, with most inquiring minds assuming it has links to one of the government’s most volatile smoking guns: the Epstein list. Social media users echoed this apparent correlation in overwhelming fashion.
While there is no confirmation on the correlation between Wallace's tweet and the Epstein files, internet sleuths are connecting the dots until proven otherwise.
Matt Wallace - Lawsuit, more
Judging by his online presence, Matt Wallace is known to be opinionated and antagonistic by nature. This landed him in hot water back in April when he was sued in Colorado federal court by Jo Ellis, a Virginia Army National Guard helicopter pilot.
The lawsuit was in response to an incident in January where a military helicopter crashed into a passenger jet outside Washington resulting in 67 casualties. At the time, President Donald Trump blamed the accident on diversity efforts, although at that point, it was too soon to tell, and the right-wing influencers took up the narrative and gave it life.
Among those voices was Matt Wallace, who is alleged to have been complicit in a smear campaign towards trans military rights. Ellis’ exact complaint read as follows,
"(Wallace) knew the public wanted to blame someone for this unspeakable tragedy and he knew a transgender Black Hawk pilot was the perfect villain for his story. Once Defendant planted his inane theory that the collision was intentionally caused by the helicopter and that the helicopter was piloted by Plaintiff, a transgender Black Hawk pilot, the theory went viral."
The lawsuit went on to assert that,
"(Wallace) used his prominent X platform to monetize a false narrative that (Ellis) was not only one of the Army pilots involved in the mid-air collision, but also that she engaged in 'another trans terror attack' and intentionally caused the mid-air collision due to her 'depression' and 'Gender Dysphoria.’”
The court has yet to make a final ruling on the defamation case against Matt Wallace.
