Shannon Jackson Stillwell and his attorney in the YSL trial, Kayla Bumpus, are expecting a baby.

My Mixtapez has announced on X that the attorney and defendant, who met and fell in love during the trial last year, shared the news that a "Baby Sevynn" is "arriving October 2025." The trial had been ongoing in court for years, ultimately becoming Georgia's longest-running criminal trial.

In the end, Shannon Jackson Stillwell was acquitted of several charges ranging from murder to gun possession, USA Today reported. However, he was found guilty on one count of felony gun possession. At the time, he was sentenced to a decade on probation with an allowance for the time he'd already served beforehand.

What we know about Kayla Bumpus and Shannon Jackson Stillwell's romance:

As of this writing, more details about Kayla Bumpus and Shannon Jackson Stillwell's romance remain unclear. However, The North Carolina Beat reported in November 2024 that they were involved in what was being referred to as the “Kayla Bumpus YSL marriage” scandal.

At the time, rumors were rampant that the attorney had already gotten intimate with her former client, Kenneth Copeland, aka Lil Woody. However, reports emerged that she was married to Stillwell instead. Around that same time, the latter's lawyer took to X to clarify that Shannon was not married to Bumpus, though this has since been refuted with their pregnancy announcement.

"Please stop. That is not my client and we need to be clear that it is not. We all know how people run with things, even falsehoods. My client has never lived in Texas nor has he ever been charged with such offenses. and I need to protect his name, in court and on twitter."

At the end of the YSL Rico trial, after Shannon Jackson Stillwell was placed on probation, his lawyer, Max Schardt, issued a statement to USA Today:

“We are thankful for the jury’s not guilty verdicts in this case. This was the only just verdict based on the evidence and the truth. Shannon has lived a difficult life in his 30 years and we have never claimed that he is perfect. Shannon does want to be a great father, husband, grandson, and role model for young men."

As reported by CNN, back in December 2023, while the trial was ongoing, Shannon Jackson Stillwell was stabbed while being detained at the Fulton County jail. He was consequently rushed to the hospital for treatment.

“I’m obviously very concerned about my client and I’m gathering information at this time,” Schardt said at the time.

However, he eventually recuperated and not long after, continued his appearances in court.
