Adin Ross gave a shoutout to NBA Youngboy's team despite previously accusing them of forcing him to shell out $100K to stream at his concert.
In a livestream video going viral, the Twitch streamer can be seen recalling an encounter he had with the rapper's team. He alleged that he was demanded to pay $100-150K to stream the show. He then gave a shoutout to DJ Akademiks, noting that he would never agree to pay this sum to simply "stream a show."
In a new tweet, however, he gave a shoutout to the musician's team:
"Youngboys entire camp showed nothing but love, and great hospitality. I’m glad cuffem got to feel the love too , him being a true yb fan. I was obviously bummed out for cuffem not seeing him, but one day when the time is right it’ll happen, W stream. w Akademiks"
NBA Youngboy gets linked to local authorities twice in one week: Read more
NBA Youngboy has been on the road for a few weeks now, having performed two sold-out concerts at the Smoothie King Center. Per NOLA, he was recently seen taking a late-night stroll on Canal and Bourbon streets before he was briefly entangled with cops.
Legally known as Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, he can be seen walking around a Canal Street sidewalk, flanked by eight bodyguards, in videos circulating online. In another video, he and his team are walking near Caesars Casino. In one clip, he can be seen running between two, with their arms interlinked with his.
The outlet has reported that the authorities were extracting him from what could have been a dangerous situation, as by then, dozens of fans had begun swarming around him. The NOPD has since issued a statement:
"Last night, there was no criminal incident and no arrest involving NBA YoungBoy. After the artist briefly moved on foot near the intersection of Canal and Bourbon Streets, a crowd converged. The videos show NOPD officers quickly establishing a protective corridor and escorting him to a vehicle. He departed without further issue, and tonight’s show at the Smoothie King Center remains on schedule."
NBA Youngboy made headlines yet again when his concert at the Smoothie King Center on Monday night ended with a statement from the NOPD debunking rumors of gunfire inside the arena.
"Tonight, NOPD responded to reports of shots fired inside the Smoothie King Center," the department said in a statement. "At this time, there is no evidence of shots fired. Early indications are that this was a false alarm. Officers responded immediately and ensured the area was secure. No gunshot injuries have been reported at this time. "An investigation is underway into what prompted the report. Please rely on official updates."
