In the most recent news about the “Opalite” singer, Taylor Swift has been on a donation spree in time for the holidays. Her most recent contribution was an unspecified amount towards MusiCares, who took to Instagram to post the news. Alongside an image featuring a thank you in the form of Swift’s trademark friendship bracelets, the caption praised the singer’s efforts to continue to support artists.

“It takes a village to bring the music fans love to life, and Taylor's donation helps ensure that all music professionals, across genres and professions, don't have to choose between a life in music and life-sustaining care.”

In her docuseries, Taylor Swift: The End of an Era, she shares that she broke down while singing “Marjorie,” a song written for her late grandmother. She explains that her tears were due to a speech Kamilah Marshall (one of her backup dancers) delivered about losing her mother before the team took the stage.

“What got me was like, Kamilah made this speech before the show where she was talking about how her mom died. And she was just saying how heartbroken she is that her mom never got to see the Eras Tour and never got to see her do this.”

Taylor Swift went on to add,

“And I was just thinking about it all night. And I knew that and we always used to make eye contact on ‘Marjorie,’ me and Kamilah, because of her mom.”
