Content creator IShowSpeed, also known as Darren Jason Watkins Jr., recently recreated his childhood photo recently. As seen in an X post by “FearBuck,” he was with the same three people with whom he clicked the photo in his childhood. Social media users seemed amazed by the photo, with one X user commenting:
“The glow up is crazy Happy they all still alive.”
A netizen commented that it was a nostalgic photo, writing:
“man unlocked the nostalgia dlc just to remind everyone he’s still the same chaos in hd.”
Sharing a similar emotion, a second user mentioned:
“Sheesh, that's some heartwarming nostalgia right there.”
Others wrote that it was a huge moment for Speed. One social media user commented:

When IShowSpeed went to his old high school
IShowSpeed recently visited his old high school, where he did a live stream. He said he wanted to see some of his favorite teachers, as he remembered how he woke up every day to go to his school. As he entered the foyer, the Dean of Students jokingly asked him what happened to little Darren, to which replied saying that he was still the same.
He then entered a classroom, and the students got excited to see him. Afterwards, while he was waiting for his Spanish teacher, he asked the Dean if she remembered him. She said:
“You actually were a great student.”
More students soon gathered around him and took out their phones to snap photos with him. Then, he met his Spanish teacher, who hugged him warmly, and she jokingly said:
“My worst student.”
The Spanish teacher told IShowSpeed a story about watching the Super Bowl with her family. During a commercial, Tom Brady was shown with a goat, and then Speed appeared somersaulting.
The teacher told her family she knew him, but the son didn’t believe it. When asked his name, the teacher guessed “Darren Watkins,” and the son quickly grabbed his phone to tell his friends. The teacher ended by saying she was happy Speed was doing well. She told IShowSpeed that he was one of her favorite students. She said she still had some of his assignments.
