Candace Owens is ridiculing the Federal Bureau of Investigation for not releasing the photos and videos of the man suspected of assassinating Charlie Kirk sooner.

The controversial right-wing political commentator took to her social media account to pen a scathing remark against the investigative body, noting that had the FBI released the photos sooner, the internet would have apprehended the man almost immediately.

"The Feds immediately interjected and took over the case from local police departments. If they had wanted to catch Charlie’s killer, they would have immediately publicized all pictures and videos and the internet would have solved it in minutes," she penned on X. "The desire was never there," she further alleged.

Charlie Kirk, a conservative activist, was gunned down on Wednesday, September 10. He was hosting an event at Utah Valley University in Orem when he was shot in the neck. President Trump confirmed his demise merely hours later.

Since then, several celebrities have taken to X to mourn his demise, one of whom was his "best friend," Candace Owens. In a recent video on her YouTube account, the author remembered the late entrepreneur, noting that he was an amazing person. Visibly emotional, she said:

“You know, he was like we were really close and he was he was my best friend and my brother and I will never unsee the footage of what I saw, the violence of it. I pray for the people who took any pleasure in that. I would never, there's not a single person in the world that I would wish that on. And least of all someone with a heart like Charlie's.”

A day after Charlie Kirk died, the FBI issued a press release offering up to $100K for any information that would help in identifying the man in the photos, who is believed to be the gunman.

Beau Mason, commissioner of the Utah Department of Public Safety, confirmed that the shooter "blended in" with the swarms present on the day of the incident. He also revealed that the shooter "appears to be of college age," per The Guardian.

Robert Coles, the Special Agent helming the FBI Salt Lake Field Office, has also reportedly confirmed that a “high powered bolt action rifle" that is believed to be the weapon used in the slaying of Charlie Kirk has since been recovered.

“A rifle was recovered in a wooded area where the shooter had fled” and the FBI laboratory will be “analyzing this weapon”, Coles said. He also said that investigators have collected “footwear, impression, a palm print and forearm imprints for analysis”.

As of this writing, the gunman remains at large, and his motive remains unclear. The Guardian has further reported that the FBI has received over 130 tips, all of which are being “fully investigated."
