As Taylor Swift's new album The Life of a Showgirl dropped on Mean Girls Day, nearly overshadowing the cult-favorite holiday, Lindsay Lohan wasn't about to let Regina George (or Taylor Swift) steal the spotlight.

On Friday, Oct. 3, the OG Cady Heron playfully reclaimed the moment through a cheeky Instagram post. She posted a portrait of herself, adorned with a showgirl feather headpiece, and stamped the caption with:

"It's October 3rd."

The line came from a scene in the actress's acclaimed teen-oriented film Mean Girls, when Cady Heron asked her crush, Aaron Samuels (Jonathan Bennett), what date it was.

However, what makes Lindsay Lohan's post iconic is her pink backdrop and a sparkling text that says:

"The Life of a Fetch Girl"

"Fetch" is a buzzword invented by Gretchen Wieners (Lacey Charbert) that means "awesome" or "cool." Although Regina George (Rachel McAdams) doubted the term would ever catch on at school, it ended up making waves far beyond the film.

Meanwhile, it's not only Lindsay Lohan who commemorated Mean Girls Day. On TikTok, Jonathan Bennett collaborated with United Airlines where he's anticipating anyone to ask him what day it is. The hilarious clip also shows the actor being seated next to women clad in bright showgirl costumes with their headphones on.

Lacey Chabert also celebrated the film holiday, simply captioning her carousel of flashback photos with:

"Happy Mean Girls Day!"

The montage includes stills from the movie, as well as a group photo with the cast members Lindsay Lohan, Jonathan Bennett, Janis Ian, Daniel Franzese, and Amanda Seyfried.

Lindsay Lohan to releasen Freakier Friday track "Baby" lyric video

Apart from Mean Girls Day, Lindsay Lohan has something special for fans as her song "Baby" from Freakier Friday is set to release its lyric video ahead of the movie's digital release.

The track is written by Anna, Lohan's character who's a member of a garage band called Pink Slip. She penned the lyrics for her daughter, Harper (Julia Butters), and together they sang the song in a climactic scene.

Prior to its release, Lohan also revealed how special the song is with her two-year-old son, Luai, in mind.

“I think now, because I have the song ‘Baby’ and I’m a mom, it almost still felt like I was really Anna — because I have a kid now. So that also hit home."

She shared with Billboard:

"When I was singing it, I started crying because I was thinking about my son being a teenager. It was making me like, [sobbing] ‘Oh my god.’”

Freakier Friday is a sequel to Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis' hit 2003 movie, in where the mother and daughter swapped bodies. In the latest film, however, Anna's daughter has been added to the mix.
