Cartoonist and creator of Dilbert, Scott Adams, shared an update on his cancer journey. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer earlier in 2025. Meanwhile, during a chat on his Rumble, shared on X by journalist Jason Cohen on January 1, Adams said he would like to give his viewers a heads-up. He added:

“I talked to my radiologist yesterday. He was working on the day before New Year’s. And it’s all bad news. So, the odds of me recovering are essentially zero. I will give you any updates if that changes but it won’t. So, there’s no chance I will get my feeling back in my legs and I have got some ongoing heart failure which is making it difficult to breathe sometimes during the day.”

Scott Adams went on to say:

“But at the moment I can breathe. I am not in any pain. However, you should prepare yourselves that January will be probably a month of transition, one way or the other. Now, I haven’t made any decisions but it’s all bad news. No good news at all. So, I will keep doing this as long as it makes sense.”

Adams said that what he found “weird” was that he had bigger problems than what was being discussed in the news. Despite that, he was more interested in what was happening in the world. After his show, Scott Adams said he would return to reading news and comments, something he had enjoyed doing regularly. He said:

“And I will try to make some new comics.”

Scott Adams also enquired about historian Victor Davis Hanson’s surgery

During the conversation, Scott Adams said that he would take painkillers, and there was no limit to how many he could take. He added:

“And I will probably smoke a massive massive mar*juana because it puts me into a stupor. It actually feels kind of good. In my current situation, if I do a full day’s work, which I plan to do, I allow myself to enter the stupor zone.”

Recalling a recent incident, he said that while playing a game, all he worried about was his inability to breathe if he got one of those coughing attacks. He said those attacks could last from eight to twelve hours. Adams said:

“So, it’s eight to twelve hours of h*ll but it’s not always h*ll. But things are changing fast. So, I though I would give you a little update on that.”

Scott Adams also asked if anyone had any updates on historian Victor Davis Hanson, who recently had a major surgery. He hoped Hanson was doing better than him. As it seems, someone gave an update on the historian. Adams said:

“He’s recovering? Good. Good for him.”

He said that his “interest” and “empathy” for his fans and Americans is quite high. Scott Adams said during the last moments of his life that if he could do anything better for others, he would try his best to do that.
