"These playdates bout to hittttt" — Machine Gun Kelly reacts to the news of pal Pete Davidson expecting a baby with girlfriend Elsie Hewitt

Machine Gun Kelly is already planning the playdates between his daughter and Pete Davidson's future offspring. Pete Davidson's girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt, announced on Instagram on Wednesday, July 16, that the two are expecting a child.

Within hours, MGK left a comment under the post celebrating the news. The musician recently welcomed a daughter named Saga Blade with his ex, Megan Fox.

“These playdates bout to hittttt,” the 35-year-old commented.

Pete Davidson and Machine Gun Kelly's bond explored as the comedian credits his friend with supporting him through his mental health struggles:

Pete Davidson and Machine Gun Kelly's friendship goes back years. Just last October, the two were spotted hanging out at The Room at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. They reportedly met on the set of Wildin’ Out in 2017, though their bond only solidified when they began working on The Dirt in 2019.

Back in September 2020, MGK said of his friend on The Howard Stern Show:

“I don’t have any siblings, you know, so when you have someone like Pete, like, that’s like my little brother. He’s like my best friend but also like a little brother, so, like, you have the opportunity to live that dynamic of, like, having a sibling. So, obviously, to me, that’s like the dream. Pete’s like that for me.”

In April this year, during an interview with People Magazine, Pete Davidson referred to the singer-songwriter as his "best friend."

The SNL alum has long been vocal about his struggles with mental health, and during an interview with The Wall Street Journal earlier this year, the comedian opened up about those who have supported him through his journey, naming MGK as one of them.

"And I’ve gotta say, he’s always had my back," he said of fellow comedian John Mulaney, adding, "and he’s always there, and not a lot of people are for me. I would say it’s just him, Lorne [Michaels] and Machine Gun Kelly."

As for Pete Davidson's happy announcement, Hewitt took to Instagram to share a photo of herself cozied up in Davidson's arms, and another of her ultrasound appointment, while the caption read:

“Welp now everyone knows we had sex."

TMZ has reported that the baby is due in winter.

The pair's romance was confirmed back in March. At the time, they were spotted together in Palm Beach, Florida, when an insider told Page Six:

Hewitt “respects Pete and his desire for privacy,” and that Davidson’s mom and sister “approve of this relationship and love seeing Pete so happy.”

By May, according to the New York Post, they had moved in together.

“Pete and Elsie have been living together in New York for the past few months,” a source told People. “They’re splitting their time between Pete’s house in upstate New York and a brownstone they recently started renting in Brooklyn.” The source added, “They’re so happy together and doing great."

The pair has since been spotted at several public events together. Pete Davidson famously dated several A-list celebrities, including Ariana Grande, Kate Beckinsale, Kaia Gerber, Phoebe Dynevor, Madelyn Cline, Kim Kardashian, Emily Ratajkowski, and Chase Sui Wonders, per the New York Post.

Back in 2022, he spoke with Kevin Hart about one day expanding his family.

“My favorite thing ever, which I’m yet to achieve, is I wanna have a kid,” he said. “It’s super corny, but it would be so fun to dress up a little dude,” he continued. “I’m so excited for that chapter so that’s kind of what I’m just preparing for now, is trying to be like good as a dude and develop and get better so when that happens it’s just easier.”
