"They don't like outspoken girls": Nina Lin says she might not be invited to 2025 Streamer Awards after her viral sexual assault controversy

Online streamer Nina Lin does not think she will be attending the 2025 Streamer Awards. As seen in a clip posted by the X account ‘@FearedBuck,’ during a recent streaming session with Wendy Ortiz and others, Lin said:

“I don’t know. I don’t know how that it. I don’t think I am even going this year with the whole sh*t going on, they definitely not gonna let me go.”

Ortiz was surprised by the revelation and said:

“Do you not know how many guys and streamers say homophobic sh*t. They have done so much sh*t and they are still gonna go.”

Nina Lin then commented:

“You know, it’s because they don’t like outspoken girls.”

Ortiz said that Lin must attend the award ceremony. The news comes days after the streamer was embroiled in a controversy after she was allegedly accused of s*xually assaulting FaZe Silky’s team member, Said. Following the resurfaced controversy, Said shared an X post (now deleted) on October 22, writing:

“I've been vocal about the situation originally and nobody cared. it took me a lot to talk about it again and for the third time it has hurt me once again where it'll take me time to heal from it again. i've been invalidated by the other parties. which don't realize what it did.”

Nina Lin also addressed the situation, saying she did not care about those who were discussing the controversy. She said whatever the issue was, it was between her and Said. Lin reiterated that her only concern was Said and nobody else.

What did Nina Lin say about her grandfather’s birthday?

Once, during a June 2025 stream, Nina Lin said that she was taking a flight and fell asleep. When she woke up, she wanted to take a look at her schedule but couldn’t find it. She realized that it was Gemini season and her grandfather was also a Gemini. She said:

“I remember it was Gemini season and my grandfather is also a Gemini, the one that passed away. And I just thought, bro, he's a Gemini. I mean, he unfortunately passed away, but like when is his exact birthday? I was just like, it was just killing me. I was like, I know it. There's no way. I don't know. Like I know his exact birthday.”

Nina Lin shared that when her foster grandfather was very sick, she told him he had never shared his birthday with her. She said he always refused to tell her because he didn’t want her to buy him a cake, especially since they couldn’t afford one when she was little. She also said he felt like her real grandfather because he took care of her until she was eight. The streamer went on to say:

“So we didn't even want to worry about birthdays and stuff. He bought me a cake every single one of my birthday. But, you know, he never bought birthday. But, you know, he never bought ‘Ah, that's too much money. That's too much money.’”

Nina Lin said that she felt bad that they couldn’t celebrate her grandfather’s birthday. After going through his medical records, she was able to find out his birthday.
