Elon Musk has become a divisive figure due to his political alignment and hot takes on podcast appearances. In recent news concerning the Tesla chief, Musk recently appeared to co-sign Google CEO Sundar Pichai’s advancements with the Willow chip. This breakthrough is particularly significant because it brings us closer to the possibility of quantum computing becoming achievable at scale. When Pichai first shared the news of the Willow chip advancements via X, Elon Musk was quick to respond by sending out a tweet of his own:"Congrats. Looks like quantum computing is becoming relevant."Musk went on to add that he had a specific place in mind that would be best suited for quantum computing:"Quantum computing is best done in the permanently shadowed craters on the Moon"Once his tweet went public, several users were quick to react. One user joked:"Think of the lag though..."A user was confused by his stance:"What’s the advantage of doing it there? Cooler?"While others attempted to explain Elon Musk’s take:"If anyone is wondering why…Because quantum computers are super sensitive. They need to be insanely cold (like -459°F) to work right. Even a tiny bit of heat or vibration messes them up. The moon has craters that are naturally that cold all the time, no power needed. Plus, no air, no noise, no interference."Elon Musk's recent JRE appearanceElon Musk recently made an appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, where he touched on several topics, among which was his eventual demise. Musk made it clear to Rogan and his listeners that:“I'm never committing suicide, to be clear. So, on camera, guys, I am never committing suicide ever.”This confusing assertion seems like a move that should stick out, should he ever expire under curious circumstances. Once that was out of the way, Elon Musk pivoted to alien life, where he made another bold claim to Joe:“I mean, one thing I can say is, look, if I was aware of any evidence of aliens - Joe, you have my word - I will come on your show and I will reveal it on the show.”Elon then went on to address the recent spotting of the 3I/ATLAS comet. While some experts have claimed the comet may actually be an alien ship, Musk seemed to give credence to another explanation:“It's a hell of a name. It sounds like ‘Third Eye' or something. There are definitely comets and asteroids that are made primarily of nickel… it doesn't mean it's a spaceship.” He laughed and added, “Yeah, it'd be a very sort of heavy spaceship to make it all out of nickel.”In other news, Elon Musk and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman have elected to continue their public feud, with a recent back-and-forth on Twitter.
