The internet is buzzing with opinions over Julia Fox's Halloween costume.

The contentious celebrity made her appearance at The Cursed Amulet Halloween party in New York City for Urban Decay on Halloween, clad in the pink ensemble Jackie Kennedy wore the day her husband, John F. Kennedy, was assassinated. Fox wore the whole set, complete with the hat, wig, purse, and fake blood.

Videos of the same have been circulating on X, where scores are ridiculing her for her choice of outfit. Here's how one user reacted, for instance:

"This is wrong in so many ways but that’s just a show of how far back we’ve gotten."

The comments didn't end there:

"she calls herself a feminist but wants to mock a woman during what was probably the most traumatic moment of her life. interesting," one user noted.
"Of all the costumes one could wear, of all the moments one could emulate, why this one?" someone else questioned.
"This is not mere provocation or artistic expression; it is an act of profound insensitivity toward a national tragedy. Certain historical moments defy commodification as "fashion," revealing instead a failure of judgment. Her apparent anticipation of the backlash only compounds the offense, transforming intent into calculated provocation," another penned.
"62 years later and this is still uncomfortable and unacceptable," a fourth user opined.

See how the rest of X is reacting:

"People defend it as “art,” but some things just shouldn’t be turned into costumes," someone remarked.
"Julia Fox turning JFK's assassination into a tacky Halloween stunt? Blood-soaked Chanel isn't "art" it's a disrespectful clown show. Zero class, all cringe," another chimed in.
"Regardless of political party, this is in poor taste... Free country though. It is what it is, says more about her than anything else," one more added.
"i think it’s been long enough. this is camp," one user defended Fox.

The model and actress, 35, has already taken to Instagram to defend her fashion choices.

"I'm dressed as Jackie Kennedy in the pink suit. Not as a costume, but as a statement," Julia Fox wrote. "The image of the delicate pink suit splattered with blood is one of the most haunting juxtapositions in modern history. Beauty and horror. Poise and devastation."

Julia Fox also claimed that Jackie's refusal to change her outfit when her husband was shot was an "act of extraordinary bravery," calling it "performance, protest and mourning all at once."

"A woman weaponizing image and grace to expose brutality," Fox concluded. "It's about trauma, power and how femininity itself is a form of resistance. Long live Jackie O ♥️"
