Trigg Kiser death investigation: Chandler PD recommends criminal charges after influencer Emilie Kiser’s 3yo son drowns

The Chandler Police Department has recommended criminal charges against Brady Kiser, the father of 3-year-old Trigg Kiser following his death in May.

According to the police department’s announcement on July 15, 2025, the officials have recommended a charge of child abuse, a Class 4 felony, against Kiser. The case has been submitted to the Maricopa County Attorney's Office for review, per a report in 12 News.

Trigg Kiser, son of social media influencer Emilie Kiser died by drowning on May 18, 2025, a few days after he was found unresponsive in the family’s pool.

The news comes after Brady Kiser told the police in June that the incident occurred when he was supervising their son, Theodore and he lost sight of Trigg for three to five minutes before finding him floating in the pool. Once he noticed him, he reportedly called 911, as indicated by the records.

He also informed Trigg’s mother, Emilie Kiser, who was not at home at the time of the incident.

Police seek charges against Brady Kiser in tragic drowning of influencer Emilie Kiser’s son Trigg Kiser

Previously, the police records showed that during the incident, Trigg Kiser went to play near the backyard pool after having his food, which was “not uncommon.” Brady Kiser told police the pool usually had a protective cover on it, as indicated in the records.

Reportedly, Trigg was found unresponsive, after he was pulled out of the pool, on May 12, per AZ Family. He died a week later.

A report in USA Today stated that a search warrant was filed on May 13, 2025 to obtain video surveillance from the cameras installed in the backyard, in order to confirm Brady’s statement.

Emilie Kiser, who is a popular social media influencer has not yet spoken on the death of her son. Her last Instagram post was in May 2025. In her post she added a carrousel showing random photos of her with her two kids. The caption read:

“Love a good dump of photos and a good hair day.”

Emilie Kiser tied the knot with her husband, Brady in 2019, according to a report in E! Online. They welcomed Trigg Kiser, their first child two years later in July 2021. Their second son, Theodore was born this year in March.

USA Today reported that since the death of their son Trigg Kiser, the couple has cut down their social media activities. Reportedly, Emilie has turned off commenting on most of her Instagram and TikTok profiles. Brady has made his Instagram account private.

12 News reported that,

“The Chandler Police Department has completed its investigation into the tragic drowning of three-year-old Trigg Kiser.”

It added that no further statements about the investigation will be released. They further said that a criminal charge will not automatically result in prosecution.
