Influencer Trisha Paytas and husband Moses Hacmon have just welcomed their third child into the world. Born on July 12, their newborn son has drawn extra attention due to his full name: Aquaman Moses Paytas-Hacmon.

In an episode of her "Just Trish" podcast that aired on July 22, Trisha Paytas delved more in-depth into the root of her son’s water-inspired name and its meaning to the couple.

“I will say my number one that we were so close to naming the baby is not a movie poster, but I loved it so much. It’s Moses’ poem 'Water Snake.' I love ‘Water Snake,’ It’s the Year of the Snake, Moses is a snake. We love water. I loved [the movie] Water World. I loved the name Water.”

She went on to say,

“At the end of the day, Moses loves water, I’ve adopted his philosophy.”

Trisha shared a photo carousel on Instagram on July 23 to share the news with her loved ones and countless online supporters.

Trisha Paytas discusses other potential baby names

In the same episode of Just Trish, Trisha Paytas gave her audience another interesting bit of information, highlighting that she and Hacmon weren’t always as convinced about what to name their son.

"I did love Moses Jr., too. I really love that too. And I liked Aladdin. It wasn't water-themed, but I always loved Aladdin. Moses hated that. He vetoed Paper Man and Aladdin pretty quick, so we switched."

Trisha Paytas then pivoted back to Aquaman, and provided some context as to how she and Moses decided the name would ultimately work for their child.

“I’ve been wearing Aquaman T-shirts for years, since 2017 when the first Justice League came out. I have gone to so many Comic Cons for Aquaman. And I really fell in love when we rewatched Aquaman.”

She then went on to elaborate on some similarities that her favourite superhero may have with her son, as well as the family as a whole.

“He’s of two heritages, like our baby. He connects the land and sea, which is Moses’ order at Benihana. He can talk telepathically to fish. He’s also blonde and brunette, which—plot twist: our Aquaman has blonde hair.”

This truly is a moment to celebrate for the family of 5, especially considering Paytas revealed that parts of her pregnancy were highly traumatic.
