The reporter asked the Crown Prince directly how he felt about being present, when US intelligence had confirmed that he was the culprit of the slaying, and some “9/11 families are furious that you are here in the Oval Office.”While Prince Mohammed bin Salman could only muster up a smile, President Donald Trump went on full attack, denouncing ABC’s journalistic legitimacy. He also all but skirted the question about the crown prince entirely and went on to discuss his family’s apparent dealings with Saudi Arabia, making sure to distance himself from any involvement.Also on the docket was the issue of Saudi foreign investment into the United States. Prince Mohammed relayed that,“We can announce that we are going to increase that $600 billion to almost $1 trillion for investment.”This marks a substantial increase from the original agreement and even had President Donald Trump smiling at the news.President Trump repairing relationship with Elon Musk?Earlier in the year, a bitter feud ignited between President Donald Trump and Tesla chief Elon Musk. What started as a genuine friendship and profitable relationship for both men devolved into a name-calling match on various platforms, with Musk even going as far as calling for the President’s impeachment.It appears for now that the ornery feud between the two men has died down, as Musk was spotted in attendance at a candlelit dinner hosted by Trump in honor of the visiting Saudi prince at the White House. It’s a significant development as this is only the second public appearance featuring both men since their feud earlier in the year.While this isn’t confirmation of a mending of their rift, it certainly is noteworthy that Elon Musk was present at the affair.
