"Two days of pure joy" - Meghan Markle shares snaps of Disneyland trip with Prince Harry and kids Archie and Lilibet

Former actress Meghan Markle is sharing a glimpse into her family’s time at Disneyland. On June 6, the Duchess of Sussex, who is married to Prince Harry, took to Instagram to share an edited montage of photographs and videos which featured her husband and her two children - Archie and Lilibet. Markle also wrote,

“Thank you @disneyland for giving our family two days of pure joy!”

The videos included snapshots of Markle’s daughter, Lilibet, running excitedly while holding her mom’s hand, the family going on to meet Disney princesses followed by the royal couple taking adventurous rides with their children. Markle also shared a snippet of the food that the family had while at Disneyland, which included corn dogs and pickles.

Markle had also shared an image of a cake for Princess Lilibet, who turned 4 on June 4. People Magazine noted that the cake was Little Mermaid-themed, a special ode to the red-haired Lilibet.

Meghan Markle began Princess Lilibet’s 4th birthday celebrations by posting two intimate black and white pictures of herself with her daughter. The first image showed Markle caressing her daughter and the second image was seemingly from Lilibet’s birth, with Markle cradling her newborn. Alongside the images, Markle wrote,

“Happy birthday to our beautiful girl! Four years ago today she came into our lives - and each day is brighter and better because of it. Thanks to all of those sending love and celebrating her special day!”

Markle followed the post with another tribute, this time to the special bond shared between Prince Harry and their daughter. In one image, Harry could be seen holding his infant daughter in his arms and in the next image, both he and Lilibet were walking hand in hand, barefoot, on a dirt road surrounded by palm trees. In the caption to the post, Markle addressed Lilibet with her nickname, ‘Lili,’ and wrote,

“The sweetest bond to watch unfold. Daddy’s little girl and favorite adventurer. Happy birthday Lili!”

In another post put up in honor of her daughter’s birthday, Markle shared a hilarious glimpse into the delivery process of Lilibet from four years ago. Sharing that she danced to induce labor, Markle shared a video recorded in the hospital before Lilibet’s birth, featuring Markle and Harry dancing to Drake Family’s rendition of Starrkeisha’s The Baby Momma Dance, according to Today. Markle wrote alongside the video,

“Four years ago today, this also happened. Both of our children were a week past their due dates… so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn’t work - there was only one thing left to do!”

Today notes that Prince Harry mentioned the incident in his memoir, Spare, writing that they were brought food from the Californian chain In-N-Out as well as “fajitas from a local Mexican restaurant for Meg.” As per Today, Harry also wrote,

“We ate and ate and then did the Baby Mama dance around the hospital room. Nothing but joy and love in that room.”

Meghan Markle candidly documents life with her husband and children on her Instagram page. The former Suits actress had posted a special image of her children on Mother’s day, and written,

“Happy Mother’s Day! Cheers to juggling it all with joy! And to these two gems - who still attempt to climb ‘mama mountain', smother me with kisses, and make every day the most memorable adventure.”

Even before Lilibet’s birthday, Meghan Markle had shared a video of herself harvesting honey alongside her daughter. Admittedly proud, the mother revealed that her daughter was even wearing her gloves.
