Multiple-time American Music Awards-winning rapper and singer-songwriter Nicki Minaj is currently making waves after she was reportedly uninvited to the 2026 Met Gala, as reported by Executive Media on X (formerly Twitter). Met Gala, which is co-chaired by high-profile personalities such as pop diva Beyoncé, Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman, British editor Anna Wintour, and tennis champion Venus Williams, is scheduled for May 4, 2026, with a Costume Art theme.

According to reports, the reasons behind the Black Barbie hitmaker, Nicki Minaj, being reportedly banned from the 2026 Met Gala include a legal conflict with Roc Nation, as they were granted a cease and desist order against the rapper-turned-songwriter.

Other reasons for Minaj being uninvited from the 2026 Met Gala also include a reported conflict with Beyoncé and other co-chairs of the Met Gala, as well as her recent controversial political shift after she publicly spoke highly of President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance at a recent Turning Point USA "America First" event.

The 43-year-old Trinidad-born rapper and singer, Nicki Minaj, began to gain public attention in 2007. She was catapulted to mainstream fame after releasing her 2010 album Pink Friday, which turned out to be a massive success. Eventually, the Super Bass singer signed a record deal with Young Money Entertainment, founded by the five-time Grammy Award-winning rapper, Lil Wayne.

According to Unilad, the Your Love rapper, Nicki Minaj, has reportedly deleted her official Instagram handle after facing backlash for mistakenly using the word 'assassin' at the December 21, 2025, Turning Point USA event, which took place in Phoenix, Arizona, where Erika Kirk was present. Erika is the wife of Charlie Kirk, a right-wing political activist who was shot dead in September 2025 at a similar event. The Super Freaky Girl singer, Minaj, said:

"Dear young men, you have amazing role models, like our handsome dashing president. And you have amazing role models like the assassin, JD Vance, our vice president - and when I say that..."

While Nicki Minaj was quick enough to realize her blunder, Erika Kirk, who was also present there, broke the tension immediately with her supportive words. Erika said:

"I love this woman, she is an amazing woman. She has a soul and a heart for the Lord, and words are words, but I know her heart and it doesn't even matter - and you say what you want to say because I know your heart - and I do not judge that."
