Influencer Andrew Tate has been ordered by a Los Angeles court on September 4, 2025, to stay away from his ex-girlfriend Brianna Stern for three years under a restraining order.
This order requires the 38-year-old to maintain a distance of at least 100 yards from Stern and also prohibits him from possessing firearms in the U.S. It also requires Tate to refrain from contacting the model, while Stern has been permitted to record him without his consent to demonstrate any alleged violations of the new restraining order, according to a report in Rolling Stone.

According to the court documents, the former couple agreed to the terms. The restraining order is a part of the ongoing legal battle between Tate and Stern, who has accused him of s*xual assault and abuse.
Here are more details of the case.
Exploring the legal dispute between Andrew Tate and his former girlfriend, Brianna Stern
The legal dispute between Andrew Tate, 38, and his former girlfriend, Brianna Stern, 25, centres around the allegations levied by the model against her ex-boyfriend.
A report in Rolling Stone stated that on March 27, 2025, Brianna Stern filed a lawsuit against the self-described misogynist influencer, stating that he repeatedly beat and choked her while they were staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel between March 10 and March 11.
The complaint added that despite Stern pleading with Tate to stop, he continued until she nearly lost consciousness. Stern was later diagnosed with post-concussion syndrome.
She claimed that Andrew Tate also verbally degraded her and threatened to r*pe and kill her if she ruined his life. As per Rolling Stone, he wrote in her Instagram story about the abuse, and said:
“The last week has been very difficult and extremely scary for me. I am an emotional wreck and constantly looking over my shoulder. I’m not the person I was before. Andrew texted me recently and let me know, ‘If you ever betray me, you will regret it.’ He has told me on many occassion before that if I crossed him, he would ruin my life, rape me or kill me.”
She added:
“I know he and his followers will insult me and attack me. I don’t care because I speak the truth.”
She told the court that Tate had installed an app on her phone so that he could track her and also asked her social media passwords. According to the lawsuit, they met in July 2024. Stern is a model and influencer with her own cryptocurrency coin. She crossed paths with Andrew Tate, who was looking for models to join him in Romania to help promote his crypto meme coin.
In June 2025, The Sun reported that the criminal charges against Tate in the alleged assault of Bri Stern were dropped due to “insufficient evidence.” However, the civil case is still ongoing as the court recently issued a restraining order against Tate.
The influencer has denied any wrongdoing as he counter-sued his ex-girlfriend for $50 million, claiming she orchestrated a calculated smear campaign against him based on “fabricated” sexual claims, a report in The Times stated.
Andrew Tate and his brother Tristin Tate are currently facing several criminal and civil lawsuits in the U.K., Romania, and the U.S.
