South Korean rapper Jung San, known by his stage name, San E, was reportedly cleared of charges in a "trespassing and property damage case." According to a Korean news outlet, All Kpop, the rapper and former judge of Show Me The Money. San shared a post on his Instagram account on July 8 to indicate that the Seoul Yangcheon Police Station had reportedly closed his case.
A complaint was reportedly filed against Jung by a Chinese singer, RETA, of allegedly,
"entering her residence without consent and disposing of her belongings while she was staying in China due to visa issues."
RETA claimed that she didn't give Jung or anyone her permission or door passcode to enter her home. She alleged that Jung instructed staff to remove her items and clear her Seoul home while she was in China.
Rapper San E reportedly cleared of all charges
San E shared the news that he was cleared of all charges by the "National Police Agency's National Investigation Headquarters." According to MK News, the message (roughly translated as) says,
"We inform you that the decision to reject (not charge) has been made due to insufficient evidence related to the case of violation of the Act on Punishment of Violent Acts, etc. (Invasion of Joint Housing, Damage to Joint Property, etc.)."
The rapper had previously been charged after allegedly "assaulting a pedestrian" in July 2024. Jung allegedly told the pedestrian to "drive the bicycle straight", following which the pedestrian also sustained physical injuries. San E had reportedly apologised publicly following the incident through a legal representative. The message read,
“I sincerely apologize to the victim. Although I first offer my apology through this statement, I hope to meet in person and ask for forgiveness. I deeply regret disappointing so many people and accept full responsibility for my actions.”
South Korean rapper Jung San has been cleared of all charges, following the lack of evidence. Chinese singer RETA hasn't made any official statements following her complaint.
