Becca Bloom and David Pownall are now a married couple!
The influencer, born Rebecca Ma, tied the knot with the software engineer at Villa Balbiano on Lake Como, Italy, on August 28, People Magazine has reported. Known as “the reigning queen of RichTok," she told Vogue that she chose the place because Pownall proposed to her there in 2023, and it has long been the destination of their dreams for their nuptials.
“We had a few weekends to choose from, but a fortune teller told us this was the luckiest date. It felt like the universe was pointing us toward that day," she said of the date for her wedding.
While Becca Bloom, 25, opted for an Oscar de la Renta mini poppy cocktail dress for her rehearsal dinner, complete with pink and white petals, she chose a custom strapless Oscar de la Renta gown with embroidered peonies for the main ceremony. She kept things simple for her footwear with some classic white Chanel heels that she bought with her mother in Paris.
Becca Bloom and her new husband's wedding ensemble's explored
Speaking with Vogue about her choice of ensemble for her big day, Becca Bloom said:
“Peonies are considered the unofficial flower of China, where both my parents are from, and they filled the garden of my childhood home. Every year, it would bloom with peonies, and they became my favorite flower and a lasting symbol of family and home.”
She said of the dress she wore on the boat ride to her rehearsal dinner:
“I know my wedding wardrobe choices were bolder and more colorful than the traditional white palette, but I wanted the weekend to feel playful and true to me,” she said. “I tried on countless white gowns, but in the end, I followed what made me happiest. And nothing felt more joyful than stepping into a giant flower.”
For the jewelry during her ceremony, Becca Bloom chose Van Cleef & Arpels, a brand she is reportedly familiar with. She opted for a necklace, earrings, and a ring from the Folie des Prés collection.
As for her now-husband, he opted for a Ralph Lauren Purple Label cream suit for the rehearsal dinner and a Thom Browne ensemble for his nuptials. He wore shoes from Zegna and Brunello Cucinelli.
“Thom Browne and Ralph Lauren are iconic American houses, reflecting David’s journey to become a US citizen and serving as a celebration of that milestone,” Becca Bloom told the outlet.
