American rapper Gloria Hallelujah Woods, popularly known as GloRilla, may be facing drug charges in Georgia. Initially reported by TMZ, the news outlet alleged that the rapper "voluntarily" turned herself in on July 22, after she was found in possession of "substances."

TMZ claimed that they had secured jail records and noted that she violated two counts "under Georgia law," including,

"possession of a scheduled controlled substance and possession of marijuana over one ounce."

While the details of the arrest were unclear at the time of the arrest, Gloria abided by the law and was booked in Forsyth County. According to the news outlet, she was released later that day after posting a "$22,000" bond.

Rapper GloRilla was arrested on dual counts of "d*ug possession" on Tuesday. According to a new update shared by TMZ, deputies had reportedly been on duty in connection with a burglary report at GlorRilla's house on Saturday. The news outlet alleged that the deputies were in the Atlanta suburb when they "detected a strong odor consistent with illegal narcotics," which seemingly came from the rapper's home.

The deputies subsequently launched a warrant and noted that the rapper was not in her residence at the time. GloRilla is reportedly being represented by lawyers of the Findling Law Firm, Marissa Goldberg and Drew Findling, who noted,

"Ms. Woods was out of town when her residence became a target for a group of home invaders who most likely knew she wasn’t there."

They continued,

"What they didn’t know was that she had family staying with her that were traumatized by the violent entrance of this group who grabbed high value jewelry before taking off once they realized the home wasn’t vacant."

The attorneys added that GloRilla's family members immediately notified the authorities. They expressed their disbelief and added,

"They instead sought a search warrant when they spotted what they believed was a small amount of marijuana. Law enforcement then sought arrest warrants for her even though she hadn’t been at her home for some time. No arrest warrants have been issued for the violent home invaders. Ms. Woods is a victim, not a suspect."

Burglary at Ms. Gloria's residence was reported close to a week after her halftime performance at the WNBA All-Star Game. While the rapper was arrested on counts of "felony possession," her attorneys have slammed the deputies for arresting the rapper and not the "home invaders."
