Defense attorney Nicole Fegan is facing serious criminal charges that could shackle her career and potentially lead to significant prison time. She has previously worked on the YSL RICO case, but now, she is accused of being involved in drug dealings and gang participation.

Nicole's legal troubles began last year when charges were filed against her for involvement in street gang activity and abetting a criminal. As per Fox 5 Atlanta, the alleged activities occurred during March and April 2023 and involved methamphetamine, oxycodone, and marijuana.

Aside from the charges mentioned earlier, she has also been accused of criminal conspiracy. These charges are violations of Georgia’s Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act as well. The most recent development in the case comes with the addition of three more counts.

Nicole made her name by representing Tenquarious Mender in the YSL RICO trial, and has been accused of aiding her former client to continue operations while incarcerated. According to court documents, Fegan allegedly collaborated with co-defendant Brittany Parks to smuggle drugs and contraband to Mender.

Fegan’s attorney Drew Findling has issued a statement denying the allegations, in which he said:

"This indictment is a travesty. Nicole Fegan is a fierce trial attorney and well-respected amongst her peers. These charges stem from activities alleged to have occurred 2 and a half years ago during the YSL trial for which Ms. Fegan was a zealous advocate for her client, no more. We look forward to fighting these false allegations."

District attorney's statement on Nicole Fegan

Nicole Fegan managed to achieve fame as a criminal defense attorney who handled prominent clients. She graduated in 2014 with a law degree from John Marshall Law School. The present allegations could potentially end her career in the law profession, which she has pursued during the last several years.

The documents detailing the charges have been submitted by the Fulton County District Attorney's Office, and the County's District Attorney Fani Willis has issued a statement to the media in which he said:

"Lawyers are given trust. They take an oath just like a law enforcement officer takes an oath. And we’re held accountable like every other citizen, so we cannot commit crimes. An indictment is nothing but a charging document. We will have to prove these charges beyond a reasonable doubt. But what this indictment lays out is someone bringing in contraband to the jail. Contraband is a variety of things. It is drugs and it’s cash"

Several professionals have also offered their thoughts on the matter, and Nicole Fegan might find herself facing a number of years in jail in case the charges against her turn out to be true. The inmates that she has been accused of helping could also end up getting additional punishment on top of the prison sentences they are currently serving.

The future of Nicole Fegan remains uncertain following the serious indictment, as the court dates are yet to be announced.
