Jarred Easter, a Trevose, Pennsylvania resident, is facing multiple charges after allegedly traveling nearly 1000 miles to Florida to follow an underage influencer from Walton County. He was taken into custody by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigation Section on August 18.
According to the police statement, the charges against Easter include distributing harmful content to a minor, using a computer to entice a minor, and traveling with the intent to engage in sexual activity with a minor. Easter is 29.
Giving updates on the investigation, Walton County Sheriff's Office wrote on X:
"Easter spent three months sending disturbing emails, nude photographs, and obsessive messages to the email account connected to the victim’s social media page. The conversations were entirely one-sided, revolving around photos the child had publicly posted."
It further continues:
"Easter tracked the teen’s location through her online presence and ultimately showed up at her Walton County residence, where he confronted the child’s father in the driveway, asking to speak with her."
After the confrontation, the influencer's father called the Walton County Sheriff’s Office. The Cyber Crimes Unit then issued a warrant for Easter and tracked him to a hotel in Crestview, leading to his arrest.
The Pennsylvania resident was ordered by the court to wear a GPS monitor and stay off the internet. Additionally, he was set for a $250,000 bond.

Talking about Pennsylvania man, Jarred Easter, Sheriff Michael Adkinson said:
"This was a sick-minded individual who convinced himself he had a relationship with a child. We are grateful the victim wasn't harmed, and we are working tirelessly to ensure there are no other victims connected to this predator. Perverts who cross state lines to target children will find themselves in handcuffs."
The sheriff's office also asked parents of influencers to closely watch their children’s online activity, including direct messages, and protect their safety in order to prevent such cases. Other measures include keeping personal details private, using privacy settings, being cautious with followers, and reporting suspicious contacts.
The case is still under police investigation. Additionally, authorities have asked anyone with information about the Pennsylvania resident to step forward and share details.
Ending the statement, the Sheriff's office wrote:
"We'd like to thank the @OCSOALERTS SIS Team, who made this arrest a priority and assisted our agency in putting Easter behind bars quickly."
The name of the social media influencer has not been disclosed by authorities to protect their privacy and safety.
