A new challenge involving Chris brown's track Residuals is taking social media by storm, prompting artist NLE Choppa to give it a go as well.
For the unversed, the Chris Brown Residuals verse challenge involves artists attempting to sing the vocals of Brown's hit song.
Singer-songwriter Tank can be credited with starting the challenge, as he took to social media on February 7 to call on all his fellow singers to render their vocals to the massive hit track. The R&B Money Podcast co-host penned the following caption:
“I issue you a challenge in honor of Chris Brown’s 11:11 being the best R&B album in the world and ‘Residuals’ being the best R&B song in the world! You up for the challenge? I AM!”
Just today, March 10, NLE Choppa shared a video of himself in the studio, delivering his vocals to the tune. Clad in casuals, the artist can be seen harmonizing to the tunes of the song. The caption of this video read:
"Not usually my forte but love the song so much I took a crack at it... #residualsversechallenge"

Users have since begun reacting to the artist's vocals with a blend of sarcasm, humor, and disapproval, as some claimed he was using autotune.
