A disagreement has spread through the VTuber and content creator communities involving Aliciaxlife, also called Alicia, and another YouTuber named Katliente. The issue started in November 2024 when Alicia called out the YouTuber for sharing a video with a title that many saw as exploiting her cancer diagnosis.

VTuber Aliciaxlife and Katliente's feud explained

In May 2025, Katliente spoke about the controversy on the social media platform X. She admitted the video should have been taken down right away. The YouTuber said her editor uploaded it without letting her know or getting her approval first. She also pointed out that her editor mixed up terms like "cancer" and "remission" because of limited English skills, which caused the title to be misleading.

Katliente shared that once she spotted the issue, she removed the video, apologized to Alicia, and gave her compensation in case the video caused any harm while it was online.

Even after hearing the explanations, Aliciaxlife criticized Katliente and claimed she was not honest about why the video was removed. Alicia pointed out comments from Katliente where she seemed unwilling or too lazy to take the video down. She called her a hypocrite, reminding people that Katliente had called out other creators for doing the same thing in the past. Aliciaxlife also said she had presented detailed proof in her own video that discussed the situation.

Making things messier, Alicia said Katliente shared her full legal name on social media. Alicia admitted her first and last names were already public because of her past as a pro esports commentator. But she made it clear her middle name had never been shared before.

Aliciaxlife wondered why Katliente blurred out other names in a linked document but didn’t do the same for her. This raised questions about how private info gets handled. This left Alicia feeling even worse. She decided to step away from social media and interactions to focus on feeling better.
