DJ Vlad has filed a lawsuit against Joyner Lucas for the latter reposting a clip from a VladTV interview without permission and denying an interview request in exchange.

In his lawsuit, Vlad, who owns Hot in Here, Inc., the parent company of VladTV, is accusing Lucas of copyright infringement after Lucas allegedly reposted a clip from a VladTV interview without permission. Vlad claims Lucas posted a five-minute segment from his popular interview series to his X account on July 6, intentionally cropped out VladTV’s watermark, and did not give him credit.

As per an exclusive report by AllHipHop, Vlad is seeking up to $150,000 in statutory damages and reimbursement for legal fees. He is also requesting a permanent injunction barring Lucas from using or sharing any of his VladTV content in the future. DJ Vlad is also seeking an accounting of any profits Lucas might have generated by using his VladTV clip.

Joyner Lucas took to X on November 7 to respond to DJ Vlad’s copyright infringement lawsuit against him. Lucas posted screenshots of text conversations between them, in which Vlad seemingly requested an interview. Lucas claimed that Vlad allegedly filed the lawsuit because he denied the interview request:

"When you get sued Becuz you ain't wanna do a interview. SMH lame n**ga been stalking me for YEARS to go on his weak a** channel and when he finally realized I won't sit down with his bit** a** because I hate everything about him, he decides he gonna try to extort me out of one instead..."

He continued:

"Smh @djvlad YOU GOTTA BE THE BI**EST OF ALL B**CH N***AZ ALIVE. YOU WANTED CLOUT SO BAD SO HERE'S YOUR CLOUT"

In the screenshot, Vlad allegedly says that he is "willing to forgo asking a legal copyright claim" for his content being used "in exchange for an interview." He also suggested that the interview could take place in the Van Nuys studio. Vlad allegedly added that he would want to speak to Lucas "ahead of time" so that he knows Lucas is "not going into it with a negative attitude."

Joyner Lucas, in response to the interview request, told DJ Vlad that he could call his attorney and do whatever he wants, since he would not be doing the interview. He suggested that Vlad "settle your legal matters however you want to settle them."
