Gwyneth Paltrow shocked the world when she made an appearance on Astronomer's social media page as its 'spokesperson.'
The actress, who was once married to Chris Martin, stepped in as an interim spokesperson to answer several questions that have arisen in the last few days. On July 16, Andy Byron, the CEO of the company, was spotted with his arms around the Head of HR, Kristin Cabot.
They were at a Coldplay concert in Boston at the time, and Martin, the frontman of the band and father of Paltrow's children, jokingly suggested that they were 'having an affair' because of how quickly they ducked from the cameras. The two have since quit their jobs, the Daily Mail has reported.
Gwyneth Paltrow reportedly has a net worth of $200 million, Celebrity Net Worth has reported. She has a decades-long stint in the acting industry and is most known for her roles in Shakespeare in Love and The Talented Mr. Ripley. She also famously starred alongside Robert Downey Jr. in the Iron Man franchise.

In the video shared on all of Astronomer's social media pages, Gwyneth Paltrow can be heard saying:
"I've been hired on a very temporary basis to speak on behalf of the 300-plus employees at Astronomer. Astronomer has gotten a lot of questions over the last few days and they wanted me to answer the most common ones."
While she didn't address the cheating scandal head-on, she began clarifying the company's purpose and data operations.
"We've been thrilled so many people have a newfound interest in data workflow automation," Gwyneth Paltrow said, before citing Astronomer's DataOps conference as the go-to for "other questions we've received" in the days since the scandal broke out.
At one point, she even expertly cut off the Q&A submissions that read “OMG what the actual f—” and “How is your social media team holding—" to shift the focus back on the company.
"We will now be returning to what we do best: Delivering game-changing results to our customers," Gwyneth Paltrow added. "Thank you for your interest in Astronomer."
The company also issued a statement to E! News confirming that Andy Byron had stepped down:
"Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted," the statement read. "The Board will begin a search for our next Chief Executive as Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy continues to serve as interim CEO."
Within days, Cabot also tendered her resignation, a spokesperson reportedly told NBC News on July 24:
"I can confirm that Kristin Cabot is no longer with Astronomer. She has resigned."
