Hakeem Robinson, famous by his stage name Ksoo, and Leroy Whitaker, famous by the name ATK Scotty, were found guilty of first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of Charles "Lil Buck" McCormick Jr., according to First Coast News. The killing occurred in Jacksonville, Florida, in January 2020.

According to prosecutors, Whitaker, Robinson, and their accomplice Barner followed McCormick on January 15, 2020, and Robinson fatally shot him outside an Arlington shopping center.

In a statement reported by Complex, State Attorney Melissa Nelson said the two men:

"[...]stalked a man and gunned him down in broad daylight because of disputes and drill rap. Today, a jury held them accountable for their brazen crimes. This was an incredible effort by law enforcement and our team that takes two killers off our streets. Thank you to the jury for their time and dedication."

The two are reportedly part of ATK, a Jacksonville-based gang. As per the suspicion of the authorities, the feud began after a 6Block member was involved in the killing of Ksoo’s half-brother, Willie Addison. In response, Hakeem Robinson targeted Charles McCormick, who was also part of 6Block, after he released a diss track against his late half-brother, leading to his shooting.

After Robinson and ATK Scotty were found guilty, defense attorney Chris Carson said in a statement to Action News:

"Given that it’s not a death penalty case, the penalty is essentially mandatory life in prison"

What evidence led to Ksoo and ATK Scotty’s convictions?

According to the Florida Times-Union, the jury found Ksoo guilty on July 31 after discussing the case for about three and a half hours. As per the prosecution, Hakeem Robinson shot McCormick as he was leaving a temp agency on Merrill Road. During their escape, the group also broke into a nearby home. The security footage of Robinson killing Lil Buck was used as evidence for this case. ATK Scotty was said to be in the car with a loaded weapon.

Other evidence included in the trial featured surveillance and dashcam footage of the shooting, along with testimony from police, eyewitnesses, and DNA experts. Another piece of evidence showed Hakeem Robinson making fun of Lil Buck's death on social media, and his fingerprint on the rifle added to the direct proof. Additionally, Ksoo's father also testified against him.

After the verdict, a post was uploaded from Hakeem Robinson's Instagram account that read:

"I had an all white 12 jurors with 3 white state attorney's with aye white judge in aye court room with all white judges on the wall every black person that I could pick on my juror was struck by the state I jus showed the whole world how Jacksonville Florida is corrupt an my lawyers proved I was Innocent god got the last say so.. ❤️"

Ksoo and ATK Scotty, whose real names are Hakeem Robinson and Leroy Whitaker, are set to be sentenced on September 8, as per court records.
