What did Lil Wayne's daughter say about her dad's texting habits? Regina reveals how she keeps connected with her famous father

Reginae Carter is spilling a little family wisdom, courtesy of her dad, Lil Wayne. The rapper's daughter says no one is too busy to stay in touch, and she would know, since her superstar father always finds time to call or text.

In the latest Heir Time episode on YouTube, hosted by her mother, Toya Johnson, Reginae Carter celebrates her birthday with her parents.

At one point during the conversation, she was asked by Lil Wayne, who also appeared as a special guest, about the one thing she wants people to understand about the bond between them as father and daughter.

The rapper's daughter answered:

"Me and my dad, we talk everyday. Whether it's texting... Actually, dad, you prabably are the reason why no man can say they're too busy, because my dad, no matter what, he's going to text me or call me or something everyday."

The 27-year-old added:

"It's no way that anybody could be too busy because that man [Lil Wayne] is the busiest man that I know."

Nodding in agreement, the rapper looked straight to the camera and quipped:

"Sorry, dog."

Reginae Carter is a singer, influencer, and actress who has appeared in movies like Boxed In (2022) and Nothing Even Matters (2024), as well as in TV series Social Society (2022) and Terror Lake Drive (2022-2023).

Lil Wayne's daughter was also asked what she learned about her mother through the years, other than being the "Fireman" rapper's ex. Reginae Carter shared:

"One thing about my mom, just like you say, has always been independent, always been strong, always known what she wanted to do. So it never really fazed me, because that's my mom and that's my dad."

The actress continued, citing how goal-oriented her mother is and the instances when people approach her to praise her mother.

"That is a motivation for me. Some people go years riding the coattails of their baby fathers or whatever. You didn't. You came out of your own light and you did what you had to do."

In the episode, Toya and Reginae also reflected on their relationship as mother and daughter, especially during Reginae's adolescent years.

The 42-year-old personality, who was married to Lil Wayne from 2004 to 2006, explained:

"Every mother and daughter go through this point in their life where their daughter's growing up, and they just start smelling themselves. So you have to bring them back down and let them know I'm the mother and you're the child."

Nonetheless, Johnson shared that her connection with her daughter has matured through the years.

"Reginae has always been the type of child... I mean, when she was growing up, she will listen. You know what I'm saying? Like she might not listen right away, but she's going to think about what I said, and she's going to correct it. That's one thing I really love about her."
