Megyn Kelly is weighing in on Candace Owens and Brigitte Macron's legal situation.

For the unfamiliar, Owens, a right-wing podcaster, has long alleged that Brigitte Macron, the First Lady of France, used to be a man. In response, the latter shot back with a lawsuit, accusing her of launching a smear campaign.

Megyn Kelly recently gave her two cents about the feud on the August 6 episode of The Megyn Kelly Show:

"I haven't watched any of this. I have more important things to do than worry about Brigitte Macron. But my producers watched it, and they did tell me, they have nothing against Candace, but they did say that it's disjointed and it's hard to follow at times, and it sounds a lot like conspiracy," Megyn stated.

Back in March, Candace Owens took to X to make some inflammatory allegations about Brigitte Macron, alleging that she would "stake her entire professional reputation" on the fact that Macron was born a man named Jean-Michael Trougneaux. She also released an eight-part series called Becoming Brigitte to the same effect.

In their lawsuit, President Emmanuel Macron and his wife accused the controversial podcaster of perpetuating falsehoods about the latter to "promote her independent platform, gain notoriety, and make money."

In her podcast, Megyn Kelly also called into question Candace Owens' claims, noting that if she were really born as a male, there wouldn't be a "birth announcement" noting that she was born on a certain date or even photos of her as a young girl. She also claimed that the young boy Owens was referring to is named Jean-Michel, Macron's brother.

"So, like the brother who she's claiming has assumed Brigitte's identity because he was so dying to be trans is alive and well. He took over the family's chocolate confectioner business. And so that doesn't really jive," Megyn stated.

Candace Owens has since pushed back, however, as she took to X to pen:

"Discussing a series while consciously choosing not to show even one minute from that series while also admitting that you never watched it makes you a coward at best."

She also accused Kelly of being an "unwitting defender of an orbit of p*dophiles," a comment that seemingly referred to the French President and his wife's romance, which began when she was 39 years old and he was 15.

She doubled down on her scathing remarks in another tweet, claiming that Megyn Kelly was "consistently" on the "wrong side of every issue," claiming that she believed she was "smarter than her audience" when she wasn't.

"From transgenderism to Covid, [Megyn Kelly] has consistently been on the wrong side of every issue. She thinks she's smarter than her audience but she isn't. She is being destroyed in her own comment section for trying to do a hit piece on me in defense of Brigitte Macron."

However, Megyn Kelly also shot back when she took to X to pen her grievances against Candace Owens' accusations:

"Actually the segment was very fair to @RealCandaceO w/straight legal analysis of Macron’s claims; if anything I was skeptical about them, arguing CO really seems to believe her statements which may save her legally. But some ppl spend their days looking for new enemies."

As of this writing, it remains to be seen how the legal situation between Candace Owens and the Macrons will pan out.
