Decoding Mel B's second wedding ceremony look.
Mel B, better known by her stage name Scary Spice, married her longtime partner, who is also a hairdresser, Rory McPhee, at London’s St. Paul’s Cathedral earlier in July. The Spice Girl, with a wedding as grand as you would imagine her wedding to be.
The singer just had a second destination wedding to continue the festivities almost exactly a month later. As regal as her first ceremony was, the second one was the absolute polar opposite.
At the royal venue, she has opted for a custom ivory gown from British designer Josephine Scott, which was chosen from Evelie Bridal Boutique in London. Caroline Black from the boutique told PEOPLE magazine back then,
“Mel was a dream to work with, bringing her own sense of style to the occasion."
While Scott explained, "She’s iconic, powerful and radiant — and this dress had to be worthy of that. Every detail was chosen to honor her strength and sensuality, while celebrating the woman and the love story beneath the girl power."
Mel had also expressed the absolute delight of finding both the dresses.
“In one incredible afternoon I found two perfect dresses. One beautiful classic dress by Josephine Scott, a British designer, and one stunning dramatic dress by a US designer, Justin Alexander.”
But the diva had a dress change back then as well; as for her second look, she changed into a dress from designer Justin Alexander. However, for this event, Mel B did a full 180 as she graced her event in a sultry, sparkling red Justin Alexander dress, fitting for the "Spice" in her stage identity.
The alluring silhouette of the dress showcases a deep sweetheart neckline and a high thigh slit. The dress has a beige or tan tulle base, which is then covered in red embellishments, adding to the glam. Mel B paired the look with a red headpiece and matching heels. While McPhee went with a classic white and black ensemble.
Mel B's second wedding Ceremony
The second ceremony was held at Selman Marrakech in Morocco. The couple announced it on Instagram as they tied the knot for the second time, saying,
"We got married!!! Again! A wedding so good we keep the celebration going with our closest and dearest in our fav place at @selmanmarrakech ❤️❤️❤️ we had the time of our lives!!"
Mel had already told The Sun, a little earlier this month, that their second wedding would be "more informal, sexy and beautiful."
