Olivia Lauren, who finished as the 1st runner-up at the Miss International Queen 2025, has received backlash for the comments she made at the pageant. As seen in a video posted on the Facebook page “Missosology,” Lauren said she had been bullied because of her looks. She was told that she looked like a man. She further alleged:

“I have been pushed. I have been thrown rocks at and well, it’s a bit of a shock to see what’s happened. This is very, it is what it is. We have to move forward but I am a human being with feelings but this year, it was beyond beauty.”

However, on September 21, she shared an Instagram post with a lengthy caption, in which Olivia Lauren wrote:

“I want to apologize for any misunderstanding from my recent interviews about Miss International Queen 2025. I feel truly honored to have stood on this stage and represented myself in this journey. I am grateful to the organization for giving me the chance to share my story and to experience what Beyond Beauty, Open Possibilities really means.”

Olivia Lauren said that if her comments about the theme seemed unclear, she didn’t mean to question the contest or its outcome. She explained that winning was only a small part of the experience, and what truly mattered to her were the lessons, personal growth, and friendships she gained.

She admitted it was not right to mention Miss USA and Miss Vietnam in public before talking to them directly, but they later had a good conversation and cleared things up. She added that she respected all the contestants and felt thankful because Miss International Queen had been one of the most meaningful experiences of her life.

Olivia Lauren thanked the audience for their support

According to the Missosology video, when asked how she felt about the audience’s perception, Olivia Lauren said it filled her heart because, in her opinion, they could see what the organization and the franchise couldn’t see. The interviewer asked what she felt about the new winner, to which she said:

“I think the organization is going to have a lot of work to do and if that’s what they choose but I am so confused this was beyond beauty.”

She thanked everyone who supported her in her journey and asked everyone to never give up on their dreams. Lauren said:

“Sticks and stones may break your bones but words will never hurt me.”

In a video posted on the YouTube channel of Miss International Queen, Olivia Lauren said her country in the Caribbean was rich in culture and tradition. She said:

“I stand tall at 5 feet 10 inches, embracing my height as a symbol of confidence and poise. I proudly weigh 60 kilos. Those attributes have helped me carve out a space in the modeling industry.”

Olivia Lauren said she had worked towards the betterment of her community. She said it was a fight for equality. She said she grew up loving nature and often enjoyed taking walks on the beach. She said even though she grew up in a humble family, her home was filled with love and values.
