Ozzy Osbourne's final words to his wife, Sharon Osbourne, about his fans were,
"I had no idea so many people liked me".
Ozzy Osbourne died last month on July 22 at 76, two weeks after he reunited with his former Black Sabbath bandmates for a farewell gig on July 5. His family announced his death on July 22, noting that the singer had passed away that morning.
Ozzy Osbourne's widow, Sharon, in her July 17 interview with Pollstar, has resurfaced on the internet, where she opens up about the night of his last concert at Villa Park.
While speaking to the outlet, Sharon revealed that Ozzy was surprised by the amount of support he had received, and that they had sold 40,000 seats at the stadium, even though the gig was livestreamed.
"He turned around and he said to me that night, he said, 'I had no idea that so many people liked me."
When asked why he would have felt that way, Sharon said that Ozzy Osbourne had "always" lived in his "own bubble". Sharon called the Villa Park concert a "huge success" and said,
"It was the first time, I think that anybody's gone into retirement and done it, where the show is streamed and it goes to charity. So it's the first time anybody has said goodnight like that, it's the perfect way, when you've had such a long career, to end it."

Ozzy Osbourne's widow, Sharon Osbourne, while speaking about his last concert with Pollstar, said that the concert was the perfect way for the singer to say goodbye to his fans.
"I never wanted Ozzy to just disappear without some big event. And it's the best way then to go home where it all started, to go to his favorite stadium in the world, which is (home to) his beloved Aston Villa team, and it was just perfect. It was the perfect storm, put it that way."
Ozzy and Sharon met in 1970 and ended up tying the knot in July 1982. They have three children.
According to The Guardian, as per Ozzy's death certificate, which was reportedly filed at a registry in London by one of his daughters, Aimee Osbourne, the official cause of death listed was (a) Out of hospital cardiac arrest, (b) Acute myocardial infarcation, (c) Coronary artery disease and Parkinson's disease with autonomic dysfunction (Joint Causes).
His funeral was held on July 30 in his hometown of Birmingham, England.
