Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce made their first public appearance after announcing their engagement on social media on August 26. The couple showed up at Arrowhead Stadium on August 28 to watch a college football match between the University of Cincinnati and the University of Nebraska at night.
The University of Cincinnati is also where Kelce's college football career took off. Swift flaunted a light-colored cable-knit vest, paired with a blue miniskirt and beige knee-high boots, along with a blue handbag. Travis was wearing a red and white polo shirt along with a Bearcats cap. The two were accompanied by Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs teammate and close friend Patrick Mahomes, his wife Brittany, and Travis Kelce's brother Jason Kelce.
As per social media videos and photos, the two can be seen sitting beside each other as they watch the game, smile, and laugh. The Arrowhead Stadium was where Travis first saw Taylor Swift's Eras Tour live and planned to introduce himself. However, the two couldn't meet since the singer was on vocal rest.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce took to Instagram on August 26 to announce their engagement. The couple in a joint post featured a series of images. The first image shows Travis on his knees in his back garden, which was decorated with lush floral arrangements. Another slide provides a zoomed-in view of Taylor Swift's ring, which Travis designed with Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry.
The caption read,
"Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married."
After the engagement was made public, Kelce's father, Ed, while speaking to News 5 Cleveland, revealed that Travis had actually proposed to the singer two weeks ago,
"Travis actually did the proposal, oh, maybe two weeks, not quite two weeks ago. He was going to put it off till this week."
Ed added,
"They were about to go out to dinner, and he said, 'let's go out and have a glass of wine'...they got out there, and that's when he asked her."
Ed called the moment "beautiful" and said that the two facetimed him, Travis' mother, and Taylor's family to "make sure everybody knew."
The couple initially went public with their romance in October 2023, when they were spotted holding hands at a Saturday Night Live afterparty. Almost a week before they announced their engagement, Taylor Swift, during an appearance on the New Heights podcast on August 13, hinted that the two live together.
