A County judge from Hamilton, Ted Berry, has landed in trouble following his comments about Charlie Kirk.

According to a report by The Enquirer, Berry commented on a Facebook thread about Charlie Kirk, writing:

“Rest in hatred & Division!”

He further responded to a netizen’s comment, saying:

“He spewed hate & division. How's he feel about gun violence & gun control in H*ll, now?”

Ted Berry further wrote:

“He spewed hate, division, and racism. Because of him now many black colleges are receiving hateful bomb threats, etc.”

Following his comments, the Joe Burrow Foundation released a statement, announcing that Ted Berry has been removed from the organisation following his comments about Charlie Kirk's death. In a statement posted on X on September 13, they wrote:

“The Joe Burrow Foundation was founded on the belief that everyone has the responsibility to do good. We have terminated an advisory board member that made inappropriate remarks in light of recent events and they are no longer associated with the foundation. Their comments do not reflect our values or our mission. We are committed to accountability and respect for all.”

Before Berry was officially terminated from the organisation, attorney Adam Mathews said that Berry "celebrated" Kirk's death "with vitriolic, racially charged, and political language."

He also released a statement, saying that the former’s comments breached the Ohio Code of Judicial Conduct. He wrote that a judge must uphold fairness, but Berry’s recent social media comments were unacceptable. He argued:

“The people of Ohio deserve a judiciary they can trust to be fair, unbiased, and beyond reproach. Judge Berry’s actions have fallen far short of that sacred trust.”

In his long statement, Mathews said that if Judge Berry did not step down, he was ready to file a complaint with the Supreme Court of Ohio or take other steps to have him removed. He explained that the people of Ohio deserved judges who were fair and trustworthy, but Judge Berry’s actions had failed to meet that standard.

Meanwhile, Ted Berry shared a statement with The Enquirer, saying that any type of violence against anyone was not justified. He said it was not in his best interest to create division.

As per the latest updates from the BBC on Charlie Kirk’s shooting, a 22-year-old man, Tyler Robinson, has been taken into custody. Reports have also shown his mugshot. Charlie Kirk’s wife, Erika, posted a heartfelt tribute to Charlie in a lengthy Instagram post, where she wrote:

“The world is evil. But our Savior. Our Lord. Our God. Не...Не is so good. I will never have the words. Ever. The sound of this widow weeping echos throughout this world like a battle cry. I have no idea what any of this means. But baby I know you do and so does our Lord.”
