Zach Bryan's estranged girlfriend, Brianna LaPaglia, is clapping back at the former's attempt to stir up drama.
The country crooner, 29, took to Instagram on Monday to share a screenshot of a text message Brianna, 26, had sent him in 2024, when they broke up. As per Page Six, in it she acknowledged that she “still ha[d] love for” him and wished him “the best.”
However, she has since shot back with a selfie on her Instagram Stories, noting,
“Boy is blackout at 7 am again shocker.”
She then joked about “living rent-free in [Bryan’s] head,” before adding a screenshot of “his manager texting [her] THEIR OPTIONS FOR AN NDA.”
“I have not told ONE lie ever and it’s baffling to me the brain dead little army of men that so clearly abuse women too that blindly follow their little leader bc he makes songs for them about being bad boyz lol…"
She added,
“For those of you confused, my ex posted screenshots of our texts (where I’m being nice lol) this morning at 7 am. He also commented on TikTok’s about me last week. I am simply responding to him attacking me. I want nothing to do with this man idk why he’s crashing out.”
She went on,
“One last thing, I am not taking the bait and please stop dming me to expose him. The proof is literally in the pudding I don’t need to relive my trauma for the sake of online entertainment. Like I’ve said from day one. I share my experiences that I thought would be helpful for other women and I’ll continue to honor that. I was offered 12.9 million dollars to stay quiet. I was presented options on what I could choose. I chose none because I have morals," she penned. “End of story,” she concluded. “I’m so sick of this s–t idk why he’s crashing out?!”
Fans have since begun wondering about Zach Bryan's net worth, which, according to Celebrity Net Worth, clocks in at $25 million. The Grammy-winning singer is most known for his 2022 album, American Heartbreak. However, he also has several other hits under his belt, including Zach Bryan (2023) and The Great American Bar Scene (2024). He reportedly bought a home in Massachusetts worth $7.5 million in 2024.
The drama between Zach Bryan and Brianna LaPaglia, explored
In the screenshot Zach Bryan posted of the lengthy text from his ex, it also saw her admit that things would have "ended a lot differently" if it were in her control, but she offered her family as loved ones Bryan could count on anyway.
"And I'll chose to believe you didn't mean all the things you said to me tonight, even if you did. I want to leave this with love and love only on my end. That's all I wanted and I do believe deserved a goodbye. You knew you'd never see me again when you left and so did I," the text reads.
However, Brianna LaPaglia, who co-hosts the BFFs podcast, has since shot back by sharing her side of the story as she wrote,
“I am simply responding to him attacking me. I want nothing to do with this man.” She went on, “The proof is literally in the pudding I don’t need to relive my trauma for the sake of online entertainment."
As reported by Backstage Country, Brianna recently recounted fights she and Zach Bryan would have over music when they lived together in New York City. She claimed he would berate her for listening to artists like Morgan Wallen and Noah Kahan.
"Basically, I would have gotten the money over the course of three years and I would have had to sign all of my experiences, everything that I am, away to this person. I don't think you can pay people off that you hurt for them to protect you. That in itself, offering millions of dollars to this apparent beautiful relationship, to keep it a secret, speaks volumes … I did not accept any money, I will not accept any money," she said of the NDA. "It was never about the money, I was with the dude because I loved the dude."
Zach Bryan has largely remained silent about his breakup, though previous TikTok videos of his have alluded to an escalating tension between them. The singer also recently released "River Washed Hair," in which he talks about a girl named Anna and their brewing emotional conflict.
Fans were quick to speculate that he could have been referring to Brianna, though, as reported by Billboard, Zach Bryan shut the idea down when he commented,
“Lmfao, I said ‘sweet’ this is not about whatever she has going on hahahahaah.”
LaPaglia, however, promptly retorted online:
“Lmao obviously he doesn’t think I’m sweet I turned down 12 million dollars to share my abuse,” she said, before she referenced his previous romantic partners, “while rose [Madden] and Deb [Peifer] signed nda’s. Also fyi his songs aren’t about anyone he writes them drunk at 6am.”
Per the outlet, in October last year, when they broke up, Zach Bryan shared a statement on his Instagram Stories announcing the news:
“Brianna and me have broken up with each other and I respect and love her with every ounce of my heart. She has loved me unconditionally for a very long time and for that I’ll always thank her. I have had an incredibly hard year personally and struggled through some pretty severe things. I thought it would be beneficial for both of us to go our different ways. I am not perfect and I never will be.”
Zach Bryan is all set to perform three headlining shows in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The shows will take place at the MetLife Stadium from July 18-20.
