Rapper G Herbo has reportedly made claims about rapper Juice WRLD, who passed away on December 8, 2019. The former appeared on the Club Shay Shay Podcast on October 10 for a candid conversation. Juice WRLD, who was born as Jarad Anthony Higgins, reportedly died of an "accidental overdose of oxycodone and codeine toxicity", per BBC. The news outlet reported that he sustained a seizure during a police search in his "private jet."

In one part of the podcast, G Herbo revealed he was in "LA" when he heard about Jarad's "accidental overdose." He noted that he was in "disbelief", especially since he "was at the height of success." Thinking about the way he died, G Herbo claimed that Jarad popped the pills out of fear. Expressing his frustration and describing Jarad as a "good a** kid", he noted,

"You're rich as f*ck, Juice. You're rich as a b*tch. You get pulled over by the police and you swallow 50 pills because he's scared. You were going to overcome that sh*t. They ain't give a f*ck about that sh*t. ... I got $50M."

He added,

"I ain't about to go to jail for these little dumb a** pills. It just let you know how pure he was. He didn't know no better. That's what f*cked me up the most. You didn't even have to do that."

Describing the latter as his "younger brother", the rapper revealed they were scheduled to shoot a "video" just a few days after his passing. Shannon Sharpe asked G Herbo if he had previously compared Jarad's death to that of rappers "Tupac" and "Biggie." Herbo explained that Jarad had left a lasting impression on the rap scene, and his death was "devastating" for many.

G Herbo recounted how Juice WRLD passed away and noted that the way he did, "hurts" him the most. Describing him as "naive", the former claimed that he could have "overcome" the situation without overdosing.

HBO documentary, Into The Abyss, sheds some light on Jarad's life, mental health, and resounding success. According to the Guardian, in the documentary, he candidly speaks about his substance use issues and that he felt that he couldn't "save" himself.
