Fox News host Greg Gutfeld was a guest on the recent episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
As he welcomed Gutfeld to the show, Fallon told him that they had met before. The Fox News host then replied:
“Yes, you have no memory of it, which is understandable because we were wasted.”
Gutfeld then mentioned that they have a mutual friend named Tracy. Describing Tracy, he jokingly said the person looked like a cross between a Viking and a larger Viking. Tracy had a bar, which Gutfeld described as the size of a shipping container.
When Fallon asked about the timeline of the incident, Greg Gutfeld said he thinks that it was about fifteen years ago, so roughly around 2010. Gutfeld then recalled:
“There was no bar. It was a cooler, like the kind you take to a beach. So, we go in there and there’s a cooler.”
At this point, Jimmy Fallon said he was convinced that Gutfeld wasn’t lying about it, as he could remember the day. He also mentioned:
“I think I remember bring beer into the bar and then him charging me for my own beer.”
Greg Gutfeld jokingly reacted:
“That’s Tracy. That is Tracy. He is very cheap, but if you want somebody dead, he will do it.”
Greg Gutfeld told Jimmy Fallon that as they entered the bar, he looked around the place and felt confused about where he had ended up. Then he saw Jimmy, who looked super excited to see him. He said Jimmy's eyes went wide, and he ran over and "tackled" Greg with so much energy, kind of like a "golden retriever."
Greg Gutfeld and Jimmy Fallon then went to another bar
Greg Gutfeld told Jimmy Fallon that they had been smoking and drinking at the bar. Jimmy then suggested they go to another bar, and Greg agreed. They both got into the back seat of Jimmy's car, which had a driver. Someone else was also there, but Greg wasn’t sure who.
Gutfeld said what surprised him was that the car just turned quickly and stopped; they had just gone from one door to another in the same building. When they entered the new bar, it seemed like a normal place at first.
He said that at 6:00 PM, the bar changed its vibe and became a place mostly for gay people, which Greg noticed when the bartender took off his shirt right at that time. Reflecting on the day, he said:
“It was all very good-natured, and, it was a great memory. And I'm so glad I finally got to tell you about it.”
Discussing his career, Greg Gutfeld shared that he had been fired from many jobs, but he believed it always led to something better. He lost jobs at a few magazines, and later, while sitting at a bar, a friend told him Fox was looking for someone for a late-night show. Since he didn’t have money, he agreed and ended up starting a show called Red Eye.
